Replying To Tirchonaill1:  "That Ulster win was a fluke, it's as plain as the nose on your face Rolo, Donegal were leggy from too heavy a training schedule to get ready for a semi final with Dublin, it was fluke of a win and that's all it was, it will be a long time till they win one again I'll tell you that much, Tyrone will be like a wounded animal the next day, if Cavan are within 10 points of them I'll be surprised."
Who cares, we have our Ulster title and thats all that matters, our 40th Anglo Celt. Last November Ulster came home

Well, we can hardly get any worse, in fairness. For much of the last decade, we still had a well-organised defence, but only an average attack. So you felt it was obvious what had to be done. Keep the structure in attack, bring in some new forwards. We're starting to fix the forwards - but - for some inexplicable reason, we have now decided to abandon the art of defending altogether. Sure - great goals by Kerry, but we didn't even have a bad defence. We had no defence whatsoever. All you need do to score v Tyrone now is to trot up the field, get within range, and have a pop. You will find lots of space, and not a glove will be laid on you. Look, even if a P Canavan Tyrone had stuck 5 past another team in one half, you'd have felt that the opposition had also been useless. Even if you're playing God almighty and the 12 apostles on steroids, there is no excuse for shipping 5 goals in one half, no matter who we're playing. No disrespect to Kerry and the wonderful Mr Clifford (what a lovely chip pass btw!), but we were inexcusably awful. Our defence was lazy, leaderless, and clueless about zonal defending. I am not exaggerating when I say that I saw better organised club defences in the 1980s. The problems in the team run very deep in defence, and they won't be fixed this year. We're actually going backwards. I hope Kerry will give Dublin a game of it, because we certainly won't.

Meath beat us in 91 after a replay. That was after the 4 game saga between Dublin and Meath. First game ended 0-12 1-9. We should have won. Meath won the replay 1-12 1-9 we played nearly the entire match with 14 players when Bernard Flynn skillfully grabbed Hugh Kenny's privates and Kenny was sent off for decking him.

Vaguely remember you should have put them away in the first match, wasn't much between the teams either day, "In like Flynn" was it :)
