No, please, please, no. Please let's not go down the VAR route.
It's bad enough watching a hapless ref stopping play every time a player dives, imagine if every time a goal is scored the thing has to be checked?
Disaster.
Plus, GAA players and managers these days are so openly dishonest, cynical and conniving that you just know they'll throw themselves to the ground if they think an opposition player is about to score a goal, and the ref, God love him, will probably buy it,and subsequently disallow that goal.

I am with you about having video replays for every thing. Hawk eye is not used if the ref knows the ball went between the post. In the case of the phantom goal against Gleeson only one official out of seven is making a call that is not conclusive. He is not a referee but is there because he is from the same club as the ref. Is that how we want to decide games in the year of 2021 ?
We seem to struggle with "what if's", grey area, accepting bad behaviour and thrown up our hand on cheating as if there is no solution to it.
I will be more specific as I see the use of video replay during the game :
1. As now if the officials are not sure or it is not conclusive the ball went between the posts. Add ball crossing the goal line.
2. In the last minute of the game and any controversial call where a single score will change the result review it.
During the game allow one challenge per game for each team to a referring decision. If the video is inconclusive the decision on the field stands. If the call was wrong then is corrected. If the call was correct a 65 is awarded to the opposition. This is to make sure that challenges are not called for the sake of it. Very little time needed to do a few small items.
After the game:
1. Suspension for missed fouls that caused injury.
2. Suspension for simulation missed during the game.
3. Suspension for managers once specific behaviour is determined for bring the game in to disrepute.
Technology is now part of life and the GAA (making of hurleys and ball, developing helmets to avoid brain damage etc.etc.)) have also used it but we forget that when we argue against it. The GAA pursuing ball technology that will make Hawk eye redundant as the ball will tell you all you need to know. We hear that mistakes are part of the game but lets be honest that is only if it benefits your team.

What an absolute sh*t show the Sunday game is. Totally outdated with zero analysis.
