If things go as expected tomorrow it looks like a Donegal v Dublin and Kerry v Tyrone league semis, would be good to get a run out against the Dubs before the Ulster Championship starts, we need to get our shooting boots sorted out, some big games coming up fast.
Relegation battle will be more interesting now I think. turned out to be a good enough format for the league.

Why were all Division 1 games not played at the same time....?

Two great contests up in Ulster yesterday evening. Armagh have a big problem with player injuries though and it's something that will severely hamper any chances they might have of an upset in the championship unless addressed.Donegal did well without Murphy apart from some wayward shooting and in a way it might actually help them to develop and grow as they cannot depend on him always being available.
Monaghan again just couldn't close the game out and that's something they really need to work on.
Today , I'd see Kerry as too strong for Roscommon and could be big score racked up.
Going on previous outings Dublin should be able for Galway. Not sure what to make of Galway at the moment though and they are definitely better than what they have shown so far.
Great weather too so looking forward to some summer football.

Replying To BeJasus:  "Armagh v Donegal...Donegal , should be a good watch

Tyrone v Monaghan.. Hard to call, maybe a draw in a fiery encounter..

Galway v Dublin...Dublin to be tested but ultimately come out on top with a bit to spare.

Roscommon v Kerry...Rosie's could take a hiding here."
Good call in Tyrone game

Hats off to Armagh. They've got their fire back. Monaghan threw it away again in the last 5 minutes. Tyrone and Donegal are no longer King's of Ulster. A fit Cathal Mc Shane and Michael Murphy could change all that but the championship is going to.be very interesting. Armagh and Monaghan will stay up Ithink.

Monaghan would want to be considering they have a few extra weeks training done. But think Galway will give them plenty.

Time for Donegal to rest R McHugh and Thompson , both appear to be burned out and in need of a rest from football, funny league would have expected Donegal to beat Armagh and Monaghan fairly easy and struggle to get anything from Tyrone but opposite happened , yesterday McBrearty and Mogan had great games , of the subs used Ward was impressive but was disappointed with McNeelis . Defence still very weak on defending.

Typical Monaghan /Tyrone game, there isn't much between these two squads, we have full squad that can compete at this level when managed properly, it's a pity we didn't get a rattle at the 4 in the Southern Section especially the big 2
Was probably the hardest game of the 6 to referee but was puzzled by one decision.
The Tyrone player pulls down the Monaghan player off the ball when Monaghan are attacking, he allows play continue/flow to issue a black card later, however in the meantime Tyrone turn over the ball and score a point before black carding the player. Should he not have stopped play when when it was turned over, he effectively gave Tyrone an advantage for committing the foul.
Not arguing with the result was just strange if this is allowed in the rules. Best of luck to all 4 in the playoffs, especially the bottom two in their efforts to stay up, the last 3 weeks will have done them all good so anything is possible

If he stopped play when it was turned over does that mean Tyrone lose possession, is it a hop ball , where do you want the hop ball, original foul area or where you lost possession. Thought the ref done well and his linesmen and umpires pointed out off the ball fouling by both teams, so all in all they done well.Armagh and Monaghan still to stay up.

I honestly don't know, just seems strange that a team play on with 15 and score after a black card infringement, is all

I would love to see Mark McHugh starting at half forward. He plays a very demanding energy sapping role launching attacks from half back and taking heavy hits moving forward. He ends up having to defend a lot which might not be his strongest point. Thompson's strength seems to be getting on the end of moves and having a pop from distance, he will hopefully contribute more from play with match fitness. Great to see Paddy McBrearty back to his pre injury form, refreshing to see him and Langan not content just to recycle but take defenders on, break tackles and go for scores.
Purists will argue that the quality in Tuam and Roscommon today will be higher but those keenly contested games in Omagh and Armagh were very enjoyable. Early on I had Cavan, Donegal, Tyrone and Monaghan as contenders but with Derry and Armagh improving Ulster will be more competitive than ever.

Well done Dublin

Entertaining game

Con again with 1-3 and MOTM

Another good away result and another big score

22 pts to add to their 23 pt average per game thus far

Galway much improved but couldn't quite get there

It was nice to win the Southern section of division 1 putting up big scores and while conceding 5 goals and 32 points wasn't great, scoring 7:53 was pretty good.

Leaking the old goals was disappointing but the 32 points averages out at about 11 points a game which is OK for a so called bad defence.

I said over on the kerry page last year that maybe we just have to accept that we're going to concede a few goals in every game and just try and out shoot the other teams while we have the fire power, it'll make for exciting high scoring games anyway.

When are the top men in GAA going to waken up and play neutral venues. I started to write this thinking Kerry were traveling to Omagh, I know now it's the reverse. It's now a knockout competition so neutral venues should be the way. This would include the All Ireland series.

Well bud..no hammering as you wisely predicted and it was a good show by a young Roscommon side with limited resources to the big guns .

Yes Kerry are looking good and I think we are headed for a Kerry v Dublin All Ireland final, pity the leagues can't be finished out properly, it's a bit of a mess how it's wrapping up. Still though it's brilliant to have the football back and the sun shining, some great games to come this Summer, hope we can get in to see some of them. Can't beat being there as they say.
The relegation battle is going to be good in div 1.

Shame we didn't win the Southern section of Division One but sure look another game to look forward to I guess :)
Great to see Con and Cormac in great form whilst blooding some more lads into the team.
