2020 was a tough year to be sure but still there were some great moments. I think my favorite moment was Tipp winning Munster in Football even though I'm mostly a Hurling guy. Any other year I'd have picked the Galway win over Tipp in the Hurling or something like that but not in 2020. Trump2020 (Galway) - Posts: 2136 - 05/02/2021 18:06:20 2330369 Link 0 |
I have to say training and playing games with my club. With the restrictions and lockdowns, meeting up with friends at. training and games was about as social at it got last year and will be the same this year. The GAA is special and at the heart of the community. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11237 - 05/02/2021 18:36:15 2330372 Link 13 |

Not a great load of happy memories this year it has to be said!!! The 2nd quarter of the minors loss to Kilkenny probably the best intercounty. The intermediate team making the QFs at club level. Best memories GAA related would be playing/messing a football/soccer mix with the wife and 4 kids on the all weather pitch at the club during lockdown! Tipperary winning the Munster football final wearing the Bloody Sunday commemorative jerseys. A momentous day, especially for Colin O'Riordan who, after spending a few years in Australia, could hardly have expected to experience such a special occasion. midlands (Westmeath) - Posts: 545 - 05/02/2021 20:20:26 2330384 Link 3 |

Playing our first game of the year in July after lockdown. It was a challenge game played in hurricane conditions on the west coast of Donegal, but I was as happy as a pig in sh*te. What I would give to be able to play a game now ! HandballRef (Donegal) - Posts: 520 - 06/02/2021 14:25:41 2330430 Link 4 |

Has to be Tipperary winning the football. Although their manager had a sour dig at Leitrim during the league for forfeiting a game during a pandemic. republicofcloone (Leitrim) - Posts: 375 - 06/02/2021 19:56:56 2330469 Link 1 |
From a Tyrone point of view for me it had to be Dungannon, underdogs in all 4 matches, and came from behind in them all to win in extra time and penalties. Saynothing (Tyrone) - Posts: 2017 - 06/02/2021 21:22:09 2330476 Link 9 |
Mogán sending half the Tyrone team for hotdogs before firing into the net. Rumour has it, Mc Cann had to pay to get back into the stadium! TheRock2121 (Donegal) - Posts: 1142 - 06/02/2021 23:10:40 2330484 Link 1 |
For me our footballers and hurlers winning the McGrath cup and Munster league double last January. At least us supporters could attend, something you cant take for granted anymore. DUALSUPPORT (Limerick) - Posts: 1038 - 06/02/2021 23:49:56 2330488 Link 0 |

The 6 in a row without question, never been done and will never be equalled :D realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8597 - 08/02/2021 20:39:45 2330742 Link 10 |
Are you certain it will never be equalled? All it would take is for the GAA and the Irish Government to pick their favourite county, pump millions upon millions into that county at all levels for 2 decades, let them play all their games at home, and make all counties and the taxpayer pay for the development, running and maintenance of that home stadium while telling us all what a one-off special group of players this is. Sounds impossible, and very very unfair, but you never know. cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 5018 - 10/02/2021 13:07:35 2330913 Link 13 |
