I see I'm actually only one of many posters that picked Kilkenny ias wing forward including 2 Dublin posters.

I'm sure he drifted out to the wing at times (as every player does) but that wasn't his main role. The whole point of an All star team is to recognise the best player in each position, not shoe horn players in anywhere.

You are right but that system has gone with years. Players are slotted in now to suit. Also players don't stay in their positions much anymore anyway.

Brian Howard at centre half back Colm Cavanagh at full back... Both were all star selections Players being picked in positions is a long time gone Dan. I agree it should be 3 players for each position so its clear who's being judged against who. brian (Meath) - Posts: 1932 - 12/01/2021 14:06:42 2327119 Link 4 |

Aye, I agree. Players refuse to be pigeonholed. It's a disgrace. How are we expected to pick a team of the best in each position when players just won't stand still ? lionofludesch (Down) - Posts: 475 - 12/01/2021 18:17:43 2327158 Link 1 |
