I have a post from a few years ago..about 2017 aswell where I said that Ger Hegarty junior would end up a far better player than Walter Walsh. Id watched him playing for years on diabolical St Patricks teams and I was hopefull once he made the starting 15 that his athletic prowess and will power would see him kick on. In my opinion he's a live contender to replace Hannon at centre back over the next 3 or 4 years. He's got abit more vision and experience than Kyle Hayes who might not like being stuck in centre back. It might stifle Hayes. Hegarty would adapt."
Why say diabolical St Patrick's teams,St Patrick's are doing a brilliant job and are producing limerick players, you seem to have a pop at the inner city clubs alot on here.

On the contrary. I'm a huge advocate for inner city hurling. I was abit harsh . I should have said limited sides instead.
I'm a huge supporter of volunteers in Old Christians, Bsllinacurra, Claughaun and St Pats. But I do feel enough isn't been done to help them from the county board. Nettles need to be grasped. There's needs to be a big reassessment in these clubs and for me there needs to be a totally new superclub for hurling developed and maybe based at Claughaun with modern methods...brand and outlook to capture the athletes that are currently solely playing junior soccer

Would it not make more sense to base it in St Patrick's, with the hurler of the year and (surely) two-time all-star :-) They have already amalgamated at underage. They should look into recruiting the traditional Treaty Sarsfields and Abbey Sarsfields draw aswell. If you had them and got Ballinacurra Gaels/Old Christians in, they would have a fine pool. Burst every rugby ball and soccer ball and they'll be a fine team soon. Na Piarsigh didn't happen overnight, but they are the model of a city club. Cuala are similar. Their All Ireland Club win started twenty years ago.

As it might be easier to get those junior soccer (and rugby players) to commit to football, having a "mega" football club in the area might be a more realistic option!!

So Folks, not at home to see the club games. Has anyone put the hand up for JK to take a look at for 2022?
