Thanks for that..I was a bit slow figuring that out. The hunt is on for a ticket,I wonder will all counties/clubs get tickets as per normal,I heard Dublin are not getting any hurling tickets but that may not be correct. ONdeDITCH (Limerick) - Posts: 873 - 12/08/2021 21:22:56 2370272 Link 0 |

Peter Casey cleared to play in the Final. Gman94 (Limerick) - Posts: 1 - 12/08/2021 22:12:07 2370285 Link 0 |
Peter Casey rightly cleared to play on Sunday week, very difficult to see any incrementing evidence on any camera angle and it's not his form to so anything like that. The first little victory on the way to hopefully a bigger success- hopefully all rhe injuries and knocks will clear up as we'll need everything to beat the Rebels. updwell (Limerick) - Posts: 904 - 12/08/2021 22:16:51 2370286 Link 1 |

Beat of luck to Limerick this weekend. How did ye fare with tickets? We're they all distributed thru clubs and emailed out ? yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11651 - 18/08/2021 09:59:42 2372615 Link 1 |
Thanks Yew Tree and best wishes returned for the Football Final. When Mayo their first Sam back in '36, Limerick won the Hurling. A repeat would be just lovely. Tickets are like hens teeth, but I have a friend who has friends shall we say in low places, so we are sorted

Oldtourman... did tickets get distributed in the normal fashion do you know? All I have done yesterday and today is think about who I need to borrow, beg or steal from to get a ticket for the football final! And good luck at the weekend Cbar (Mayo) - Posts: 364 - 18/08/2021 10:49:38 2372635 Link 0 |

Before the naming of the teams later on in the week I'm going to have a gripe regarding the tickets for the AI final. Mads (Limerick) - Posts: 371 - 18/08/2021 16:22:01 2372788 Link 7 |
Well Limerick folk, are ye confident for Sunday? Some of the finest people I know are from Limerick, and some of the most objective and knowledgeable posters on HS are Limerick people (OTM, and slayer whose analysis is great stuff, come to mind). Sure my own father was Limerick stock. foreveryoung (USA) - Posts: 2310 - 18/08/2021 20:05:47 2372844 Link 3 |
Thanks Foreveryoung. This is going to be a battle royal. A one point win would do fine. Some neutrals are not just tipping Cork but they seem to genuinely want them to win. All I can say is, they are in three Finals this weekend and as I have said before. I honestly think they will be the team of this decade. They have four to five times the pick that the likes of Limerick, Wexford, Waterford and Clare each have, a tremendous tradition, an absolute faith in their own ability and massive passionate support. They are always hard to beat, but I think we will just about carry it this time. I am actually glad to see the likes of Tyrell and Tony Kelly tipping them, as that should help to dispel any scintilla of complacency that might be around.

Totally agree. I said it way back in this thread that Cork have the makings of a great team and a few felt they were still a bit off just because they hadn't gotten over the line at underage with a while. That has been thrown out the window over the last few weeks. You'd argue that a county like Cork doesn't need to win as much as underage due to their massive pick. 3.5 times the population of Limerick and with tradition it's mad to think that they have been down for their standards for so long. I would gladly take a hand off for a one point win on Sunday. For two reasons, firstly and mainly I think it's nothing more than what our boys deserve for the effort over the last few years and my god a back to back would be dreamland stuff. Secondly, once Cork do get on top it will be extremely difficult to knock them off their perch and how the rest of us will hear about it. Even when not winning they are cocky Mads (Limerick) - Posts: 371 - 19/08/2021 12:19:30 2373011 Link 0 |
I'm wishing all involved the best of luck Sunday..I am very wary of cork and I can,t really explain it..maybe it's from reading about how young and fast they are,and how good they are at taking goal chances..I hope the fact that all our fellas have 2 finals played will be of huge benefit..cork have only 2 starters who played in 2013..a final is a complete different day to any other and the fact that 40 thousand will be there will bring huge noise to croke park..I hope this will unsettle the cork boys in a major way..I to will gladly take a one point win and keep cork down for another while..they have got very loud in last few weeks..cmon limerick!!!!
