Think it's suppose to be round 7000..it will be interesting to see what atmosphere will be like with extra people in the ground..looking forward to this big time..if limerick improve by 10% from cork they will beat tipp..I expect limerick to have the legs to be to good..I'm expecting a right battle for 50 minutes and then limerick to pull away..discipline will be vital as I can see tipp targeting a few of our boys, gearoid and gillane being the main targets..they can expect a torrid time from Barrett and the Maher's..I think Flanagan can exploit their full back line if he's given ball..I think one change from last day with dan at full back,Richie to corner with Barry very unlucky to lose out..I think and hope limerick will come out on top by 5 points..best of luck to all from
Limerick involved on Sunday..

Interesting to see Paud o Dwyer down to ref Sunday's game after we had him for the first round against Cork. Bar the Casey sending off I thought he had a decent game.
I only see the 1 change for Sunday with Dan coming in at full back, English moving to 4 and Nash to the bench. I think Barry's versatility is going against him for a starting place. He can cover every position on the field (maybe not goals) so that makes him a serous asset to have coming off the bench.
I see us winning well Sunday. Hopefully this experienced Tipp team down try the dark arts of the game to antagonise some of our marquee forwards.
Limerick +8

Really looking forward to this, hopefully get a ticket. This has the makings for a right battle. Tipp will have been targeting this all year, I think they would have expected to beat Clare and they will have a plan for Limerick. JK will also have something to shake it up. Really hope we improve the accuracy, as with the chances created scoring 2-22 with 20 wides, improve this by 50% I don't think Tipp will match that. Our own backs need to be ferocious and not let these skillful Tipp players have space and time.

I dont see Nash being dropped for this. He's too important for distribution from the back. English is a better marker but I think Nash should hold his spot. Rest of the team picks itself although if say a Pat Ryan was to start to shake things up..Id be for that. I can see Tipperary being very very good Sunday and unfortunately they just might win. Just a gut feeling.

Funnily enough I remember Barry playing in goals for liberties minors when he was around 14.. you'd never know:D

Interesting casey and mulcahy both starting, gillane on the bench.
Could it be two pacey corner forwards to try and take some energy from the backs legs early on?
Maybe limits the high ball in option a bit.
Will mull or Tom morrisey be taking the free taking duties. I think Tom so I hope he gets a handy one to start with for his confidence.
It's funny how one change can switch the dynamics so much, will be a facinating battle for sure.

Same team as last day except Mulcahy in for Gillane...probably the right call.

I'm surprised but not shocked at the team. Amazing to have 2 current All Stars sitting on the bench.

I'd expect that the pitch will be like a furnace tomorrow and the bench will have to make a big impact in the last 20 minutes. I continue to be surprised that Dempsey can't make the bench and I assume that he has an injury? I'd expect to see Morrissey, Gillane, Reidy, Boylan and Pat Ryan on in the second half. Imagine that Cathal Barrett is on a yellow, with his tongue hanging out and then he see's a fresh daisies Aaron Gillane arriving onto him bursting to get his place back? The U20 lads are interesting as if they get game time, their out of the U20 championship (that rule needs to be looked at again).

Interesting that Tipp have gone with Alan Flynn in midfield and left off John McGrath. That's a form decision but I take it that they need more ball winners in the middle of the pitch. I love it that Tipp are sacrificing stick men for ball winners to combat us!! Never thought that I'd see that.

The way that I see this game is that provided disciplinary issues don't impinge that if Limerick play to their standard that they win. The performance against Cork was below the median (despite the eventual winning margin) so a reversion to previous performance standards should be good enough.

Tipp need a good start as I don't think that they can win from behind against us. Fingers & toes crossed that we don't do a Galway tomorrow (I was shocked as to how badly they played against Dublin).

I am very confident of getting a great performance and win today. If the last 4 years are anything to go by, this Limerick team almost always put in a big performance after reasonably poor one (by there standards).

I also think starting Mul instead of Gillane could be a master stroke. Lots of thought that Aaron didn't have his best game against Cork. However, few of us thought he would be dropped… a current All Star!! So with the knowledge that NOBODY is safe, I expect to see a general improvement in the forwards play. So I expect a win.

Fair play to Clare yesterday. I thought they were much the better team….. what does that say about Kilkenny??

I've seen us come back from 10pts down at half time V Tipperary before, 1996 probably the stand out before today. that was unbelievable... Incredible second half performance

There's a lot of us auld fellas exactly the same.
To live through a period of limerick hurling like this is such an honour, makes all those games where we had heartbreak and disappointment worth it, I'm sure we will have them again and we will still turn up and support them but hopefully not for a long time yet.
The mental strength and bonding gained from a comeback and win like that can't be underestimated
Again well done to every member of the panel and management team for a great win.
Semi final next against??????? Can't wait.

These are days that I never thought I'd see. We truly need to enjoy every moment. What this group of men have done for our county both in the hurling sense and the national scene over the past 3 years can never be estimated. I was a very thankful supporter in PUC today. I saw the greatest goal I've ever seen on a hurling pitch from a man who had a very difficult week. It was poetry in motion watching young kyle hayes today. A joy.

Cian Lynch is the best hurler in the country. He is an incredibly talent and now has become a leader. He was the go to guy when things were not going well and ran himself into tge ground.

It's not right to pick out 2 amongst this group but i just felt the need to mention those two lads.

3 in a row kings of munster.

Congratulations Limerick. A mighty performance, and a mighty 3-in-a-row.

Some pundits felt that Limerick were a tired team. They were...but only for one half. And not the important half.

That was a performance for the ages. As good as anything even produced by Cody's great teams. Has hurling ever seen a better goal than Kyle Hayes'? Anyone who says that there is something wrong with the modern day game of hurling, or that it was better in the past, needs to see a shrink. Hurling has never been better.

Credit must also go to Tipp, for that first-half performance from Tipp was as good as any I've seen from any Tipperary team throughout the years. Bringing Dan Morrissey in was key to stemming the Tipp tide. He certainly showed his All-Star worth.

The two sides could meet again. What a final that would be to look forward to! However, if Limk don't cut out their tendency to commit red-cardable fouls, then the title could be Tipp's (or KK's). The Flanagan incident was in the run of play, and such incidents happen all the time in the game: not near a red in my opinion. The other one was a definite red, and totally needless. It was not in the run of play, just a swing back of the hurley that shouldn't happen in the future.

It wasnt just a comeback though like 96, 73 or 07 where we scrapped through by the minimum or forced a replay. I think at its height the swing was 17 points today which is just insane

At half time I was thinking about that game in 1996 and hoped if we got the first couple of points we might be able be in with a shout in the last 5minutes. Then I said to myself in the searing heat it's a monumental task.
By the water break to be 2 points up.................
unbelievable, incredible, awesome.
One more step towards replicating the achievements of Mackey's greyhounds. Incredible. Players and management, ye owe us absolutely nothing.

I honestly didn't see that comeback at half time.

To win the third quarter 1-10 to 0-1 and close out thr game as Limerick did - absolutely exceptional. The power and pace, thinking clearly on a roasting hot day and to deliver that performance.......

Stunning. This is the stuff we used to dream of as kids when pucking the ball around and many young people dreaming of wearing the Green and White.

Hats off to Kiely, Kinnerk, all the players. You make Limerick people so proud.

We also came back from ten or more points deficits against Tipp in '62, '75 '81 (14 down), '96 and '07 (the second day) as well as the 1992 League Final.
