Changes Or Tweaks You'd Make To Your County Jersey.

I think they need to redesign the Donegal jersey, they used always fit me perfect but the last few are far too narrow round the middle.

I'd like to see the original 'Dia is Muire Linn' county crest on the Jersey rather than the Mayo GAA 'Críost linn' crest. I much prefer the old crest. Not sure but I think it's because the county board have the rights for any jersies or merchandise with the newer crest where anyone could make stuff with the county crest on it? No more than anyone probably I love the county crest so let them have a separate Mayo GAA crest for merchandise but the original county crest for the jersey.

I remember in 1996 in drawn final against Mayo we wore green shorts. The green shorts along with the traditional green jersey and socks looked great.
As for the jersey itself, agree with previous poster that the 2001 jersey was best Meath jersey I can remember, nice and simple. When we adopted a specific GAA crest in the noughties too much detail was put into it, something simple like a crown representing Tara would have made more sense.
Also agree with previous poster regarding the Wexford jersey. In my father's old house they had cutouts of the 1950's Wexford teams and the Rackards. The father talked a lot about the Rackards, it just seemed wrong to change the basic design of the Wexford jersey, gold around the chest, purple below, considering that 1950's team was so legendary.

They're like Creme eggs mate, keep getting smaller each year, nothing to do with you.

I always liked our 1998 Adidas Jersey but then horse reminded me of our 1992 one and that is away nicer, hopefully Galvin will use it for inspiration in the future."
Your 1997 jersey was a classic. Maurice Fitz strutting around in that was an iconic sight.

Get rid of the big white box on the cork jersey but seeing sports direct are going to be corks next sponser it looks like we'll be stuck at looking at the white box for another 5 years.

I have the An Dún jersey from 2015 I think and it has 5 gold stars on the back. Presumably borrowing from the soccer clubs that show stars for European cup wins, here representing 5 Sam McGuire wins.

Do any other counties do this?

Dont think any counties do. Its really taken off in rugby with most sides whove won european cups doing it.

We've 7 stars on the Meath jersey.

I think Kerry have (or had anyway) a motif on their jerseys of concentric rings, with one ring for each All Ireland (including one hurling).

Fair play. I like the stars but I suppose when you have 30 + wins it becomes absurd trying to fit them on a shirt.

Can't find that Kerry/circle design. Maybe they'll make a new one when they hit 40 Sams

I think Tyrone had 3 stars on their jersey for a while (maybe still do?)

I don't like our current edition, the gold sleeves just don't do it, as most Kerry posters will know I'm a fan of the late 80'/early 90's style and shade of jersey in Kerry with the old crest. PG's design in 2019 was the nearest.

I don't know about other counties but in the past in Kerry clubs that share the county colours within the county often changed their jersey style to mimic the county. Clubs like Mitchels, Knocknagoshel and Moyvane in the past wore the same as the county. Ironically enough this hasn't happened of late.

The best example being Mitchels in 1989 county Final... a carbon copy....

Does this happen in other counties?

Happy New Year Horsebox. Will Kerry take Sam in 2021?
No club in Offaly to the best of my knowledge, wear the Offaly colours. Killavilla a small hurling club in SE Offaly did in the past, but they have now amalgamated with Ballyskenach with a change of jersey colour. If I was to suggest a change to the county jersey, it would be the addition of a collar, like Dublin, I'm not a fan of the round neck style, but it seems to be the preferred choice now.

Just thinking back to my own playing days and the long sleeved O'Neills that would roast you in summer and were like a wet duffel coat in the winter... great options too for the the corner back to get a right good grip

I'd make it so that O'Neills would sell and ship to those of us who live in the UK

O'Neills can't sell their 3 stripe jerseys outside of Ireland or addidas could take em to the cleaners (pardon the pun).

I had a motorbike jacket like that too. Serious bad stuff in it, I hadn't had a bike in years and when I dug the old jacket out of the cupboard, it had shrunk like anything
