I'd forego the player if the GAA would provide each club in Co Wicklow with a full time paid coach like Dublin have..... Now that would level the playing field and would be worth far more than 1 player Wicklowman (Wicklow) - Posts: 1138 - 13/12/2020 09:06:31 2321780 Link 11 |
Brian Fenton. Hardly needs explaining either, but he can do it all as a midfielder and it's an area of the pitch we're a bit light in at at the moment. WanPintWin (Galway) - Posts: 2037 - 13/12/2020 09:11:27 2321781 Link 0 |

Damien Comer is a super player when fit. Gleebo (Mayo) - Posts: 2208 - 13/12/2020 10:28:57 2321802 Link 0 |
Good answer Perfect10 but at the same time it would be great if Tony Kelly got a job with Zurich, met a Wexford woman, started playing with the Harriers and did a Seanie Johnston. If it would be the deal maker I'd even help him start a Wexford Millwall Supporters Club!

I agree. I'd pick Comer over Fenton just because his strength not that fenton lacks it but comer is a beast no team could leave him out of a 15. difference is between both is just Fenton has unreal players around him, Comer has decent ones. Comer on a Dub team would be insane

Not sure re "sligo man"?, but anyhow there are at least 3 other threads current re coaching, fairness and funding, this one is festive, about SANTY

Disagree. Fenton is way more economical. Comer has an average shots to scores ratio
Malonemagic (Laois) - Posts: 765 - 13/12/2020 14:45:13 2321881 Link 0 |
Yeah, agreed. Fenton is a Rolls Royce of a footballer too, with the added advantage of almost never being injured (maybe his physiotherapy background helps him with that?). I just think Mayo lack a bit of a scoring threat from the 40' at times that Comer would address.
