Replying To theweanling:  "Ok, we're in div3 as it stands but i could pick holes and challange your arguement all day and i'm sure you could do the same to me. first of all the last 5 years cavan have been in div 1 or 2, in that time westmeath and laois both spent a year in div 4. anyway i'm not getting in to comparing, because i don't want to be insulting to laois and westmeath, as like ourselves they're doing their best. !!!!!
monaghan and donegal are two decent teams!!! they're both minimum top 10 teams, this is regardless of how far away from the dubs you think they are.
the tone on here from several posters is perplexing me. there's talk of a 15-20 point annihilation as if thats what a lot of neutrals want???!!!"
It's great to be so written off! If I was a Cavan man my blood would be boiling reading and listening to all said and written.

The first step is having pride in who you are and where you come from. And most Cavan posters here have it in spades.

Christ almighty the Leinster brigade are out in force.

Instead of hoping someone finally beats Dublin, they're praying we get hammered so it excuses their pathetic performances in the province over the past decade (not sure the county who doesn't even enter it have any leg to stand on here).

Look, I'll be proud of this Cavan team whatever happens tomorrow. Winning Ulster is not easy, and it absolutely 100% puts us above Meath, Westmeath, Laois and the rest of Leinster outside Dublin. But we won't be going out to lose by 6 or 7 and take the moral victory (or 11 for our bragging westmeath man). I will be incredibly disappointed if we lose by any amount tomorrow. The Cavan team and management will feel the same.

Ignorance is bliss. Enjoy your last few hours of it."
In a three team province oh wow. i repeat oh wow.

While we're at the stereotypes, isn't it great ye don't have to travel to Croke Park with Covid.. he'll save a lot of diesel and ticket money. Also no 20 hour round trip on the Massey 365."
You played county with Kilkenny?? I actually burst out laughing at that. Is that meant to be an achievement?? Sure if you turned up you'd get a game. Then lads stopped turning up and ye quit it altogether and the hurlers are going South too. Place for them. Soon ye will have no sport at all. Never mind though- ye can go fishing

It is deplorable stuff from so called neutrals!! Of course they all want to be seen to be licking up to Dublin anyway. Well we won't. We won't roll over like other counties did. What we have you cannot buy- bottle, heart, and determination. Pity some other counties couldn't get a bit of it.

Cavan are here on merit. They deserved to win the Ulster Final by more. They will beat the handicap (-14 points) .
The other semi final is a conundrum. If Mayo are as average as they were in the Connacht championship it will be close and Tipp could win it. If they can improve their conversion rate on scoring chances (doubtful) they'll win by 6 points

Oh you are so original- did you come up with that all by yourself?? Well done to you- surely you will get yourself a little shiny sticker on your jumper saying well done!

You can repeat oh wow all day. They're a higher ranked team than Cavan for the past 10 years. Roscommon have beaten Mayo, the only team to put it up to Dublin consistently, a couple of times over the past 5 years.

Also you rubbish the league form constantly. Isn't it amazing how Dublin won so many recent leagues and division 1 is generally populated by 6/7 of the best teams in the country.

The last time Cavan won a championship game in Croke Park was 1952. 68 years ago! And you're telling us they're a championship team!!

I am sure Laois were absolutely devastated they didn't manage to lure a Kilkenny footballer over!!! Probably why Micko left them in the end- they were never the same after you turned them down for the seventh time!!!!!

You are an easily wound up chap. The irony, from the boy bringing up Kilkenny football.

Was it yourself and your brothers who were on the toy show last weekend?

Dem's fighting words. Great to see. I just hope its a god tough game and that Cavan really put it up to the Dubs.

I think it's fair to say Cavan are going to get a massive hiding this weekend, whatever and which way you look at the thing.

Just words 'Tonguey'. Ye're second rate mullockers like all the rest. No licking up to the Dubs. They are given every advantage going. You sound very young.

You post reminds me of Irish Rugby teams going out all bite and ******* to play New Zealand and Australia in the 1970s and 1980s. They ran out of steam. He'll do likewise. The heavy beating will occur after 60min when you're gasping for air.

What would you know about Kilkenny. There's footballers everywhere.

Putting a string of exclamation marks after a stupid comment doesn't make it funny. You usually get that sort of thing from people who are barely able to write.

If you want a game of mine's bigger than yours I win hands down.

What competition are Cavan in in hurling? The Sissy Cullen Cup?

Cavan will win this one by two points. This Dublin team is excellent but in my humble opinion are not nearly as good as their team form 3 to 4 years ago when the Brogans and Connelly were playing. The reason they have looked so unstoppable is that their main rivals kerry and Mayo have gone backwards in the last few years. They have a new manager this year and their form in the league was not exceptional drawing with kerry and monaghan and losing to Tyrone while beating Donegal by one point and Meath by four. They are way over hyped at the moment because they thrashed Meath and Laois. Meath have done Cavan a serious favour by not turning up for the leinster final much the same as Cavan in the Ulster final last year. Dublin have had no test in the championship so far in fact the last serious game they had was probably against Tyrone in the league a few months ago. Cavan on the other hand are battle hardened and the transformation in the team is unbelievable they have come from lower to mid range division team to a top 5 to 6 team in the country over 5 weeks. They also have the one ingredient that the great Mayo team that challenged Dublin and the kerry team that drew with them last year lacked a self belief that in the last 5 minutes when the game is there to be won they will have the self belief to go and win it. Please God we will still be in the hunt with 10 minutes to go and then the shock of the century will happen.
