Well done Limerick, great team. Was hoping Jack Fagan would get his hands on a medal but not to be.

Well done to limerick what a performance in an all Ireland final.

Waterford played well but was interesting to see the small flicks touches efforts all fell into limerick hand whilst Waterford seem to go wrong or get them in trouble.

This limerick team is something to behold big well conditioned athletes great engines strong in the tackle hard to dispossess. Seem to have the extra yard every time on there opponent have totally changed the game.

Limericks could well become the next Dublin should really have 3 from 3 not 2 from 3 hard to bet against them winning a few more in next few years.

Waterford tactic of playing long balls In looking for goals was bit naive and with Limericks ability to score from everywhere and everything clicking only ever going to be one winner here.

Congrats to limerick and well done and commiserations to Waterford hopefully you'll be back again.

Congratulations to Limerick. By far the best team this year.
This was a very dull final and very disappointing for Waterford.
Might have a Limerick dynasty for awhile.

Congrats to Limerick. They have proved they are the best team around. Hard luck Waterford but unfortunately we're never in the game. Limerick just too good.

Apart from the last 5 minutes of the first half waterford didn't play well at all.

Congrats Limerick.
Hard to watch the modern game though. Limerick scored had 30 points without any marking. Its so loose.

Limerick have provided great hope for all the so called smaller counties that with proper joined up thinking at underage level senior success can follow. Alot of effort has been put in in Wexford to try do the same. A new 5 year plan will be starting next year and in fairness to Derek Kent and the board the county finances seem to be sorted out properly so money for the Centre of Excellence, including a 4g pitch, and maybe some coaching courses for the many enthusiastic underage coaches can be afforded also. I'm not sure about the stat which province has won the most all Irelands excluding the big 3 but I'd guess if you add in Laois, Dublin, and Kerry its 17-15 to Leinster currently and will be 17-16 later today. Can't believe I bothered posting such a meaningless stat and really looking forward to the latest all Munster final!!"
Cork beat Limerick yesterday in U20 Munster semi final. Nice crop of younger players coming through.

Well done Limerick. Easily the better team today. To me, Limerick GAA shows that it is possible to win in hostile envirnoments. What I mean is Limerick is a real Rugby and to a lesser extent soccer town. And the GAA is a minority sport. They have shown hopefully the likes of Cork, Dublin and even Galway now, that even in minority hurling GAA towns or counties, victory can be achieved. Through good coaching, good strenght and conditioning and self belief.

Very magnanimous.. Thank you.
Know how much you love Waterford hurling and hopefully you'll see them win sooner rather than later.
I'd have loved to see ye win, just not against us.

It's not a minority game anymore it's starting to take over thankfully but I agree with your general point

Well done to Limerick. Fantastic performance, just so much sharper and more physical than Waterford. Waterford can hold their heads up high. They fought hard and worked a few goal chances that might have kept it closer.
Another year where the winners have gone their last 4 games without scoring a goal.
Limerick are becoming the Dublin of football, they're such a machine that the games lack the excitement of other teams and I don't mean that in a disrespectful way. There's huge questions regarding the funding of Dublin in footbaLl but there's no hurling county getting the funding that limerick is getting and that should be looked at also. Anyone that can hire one of the most expensive managers in the game as an underage coach must have a never ending amount of cash.
Having said all that, it's limericks day. Their work rate and stick passing and fitness is insane.

Limerick becoming the Dublin of the GAA? Come of it. They won their first all Ireland in years in 2018. Thank god for Limerick and Galway and Clare who break up the big three in Kilkenny/Tipp/Cork.

Limerick is a sporting city fullstop. Its a unique city with rugby so ingrained and that ll never change. An thats awesome. There's no hostile environment..it was indifferent in the city but rugby ,soccer and hurling have always lived side by side there. MIck Mackey and many Limerick players played rugby and soccer..They had to make Mackey a vigilante during the ban because he wouldn't stop going to rugby matches. Needless to say he never reported anyone to GAA authorities. And the county is all hurling except for the west.

Hard to argue with Limerick being the most dominant team for the last three years in hurling. Not only are they huge men, but they are super fit, super skilled and play to a system that's hard to break down. Their game was definitely not learned overnight and shows the coaching and effort put into youth over the last decade or so. The scary thing is that they are still a very young team and if all are kept healthy and motivated they will be competitive for many years to come.
