Replying To Galway9801:  "Winning 4 all Irelands outta 5 is not "coming back to the pack",, they walked the 2011 and 2015 championships,, Galway were the only team to keep them honest in 2012,,and despite some heroic performances from limerick and tipp,, they were deserving all Ireland winners in 2014.
You talk about limericks huge margins of victory over tipp,, yet in another post you described the Munster championship as a bear pit."
They did not walk the '11 Championship, they beat Tipp by four points, and Waterford ran them close enough as well while the Premier Boys beat them well the year before as they did in'16 and last year, as well as drawing with them the first day in 14.

Well normally it is a bear pit, after all by Sunday 74 All Irelands will be resting in that province, so one earns every single Munster Championship win.

You can't take away from the greatness and achievements of Kilkenny as hurling county. Why so successful ? Lets be honest about it in spite of what they say they would not give the money out of their piggy bank to football. I know the guys from Bigwood a football strong hold who had great footballers. They the players from Railyard and the rest would be lucky to have a drink of water when on county duty. Waterford just put 290,000 into their inter county hurling teams but put over 200,000 into their football teams.

Our u20's look unstoppable this year....as one expert said, their is an unstoppable wealth of talent coming through from Galway for the next 10yrs."
Your u20s should be strong this year those same lads won the all Ireland minor title in 2018. Yes your minors are straight into the semi final I didnt say they weren't. I just said that Dublin will likely win through to play you in that semi. I also said in a previous post that over the next 20 years you are the county most likely to start catching up with the big 3 because of your underage structures, large hurling population and the advantages of playing meaningful games at all levels in the Leinster championship. It's up to your lads to turn all that potential into actual senior All Irelands now. Which as the last 20 years of great Galway underage success has shown is easier said than done.

Replying To Oldtourman:  "But how good is it to have Galway, Offaly, Dublin, Wexford confined to one All Ireland in that period"
Not good. We spent alot of years playing barely better than Joe Mcdonagh level in that time and Offaly are playing Christy Ring. Alot of Dublins best underage hurlers chose to play Senior Football and it's very hard to see why Galway have only won once given the advantages they have outlined in my last post.

Thats a meaningless statistics. Getting to a Leinster or League final is hardly the same as getting to a Munster final or All Ireland Final

So you are saying if waterford spend all there money on hurling they would have won 15 more all Ireland's. I don't think so..

And the last 40 years. And the last 50 years and the last 60 years. And the last 70 years. And the last 80 years. And the last 90 years. And the last 100 years. And the last 110 years. And the last 120 years. And the last 130 years. We are arguing over crumbs here. Cork and Kilkenny have won more than all 6 counties put together and Tipp are only 1 behind the 6 counties combined total.

If waterford hurl like they did against KK in the second half, they will win by 6. It will be very hard to repeat that second half performance so I think Limerick by 4.. 2 22 to 2 18

His own county went from 1887 to 1979 winning one All Ireland. Surely that is a stastic fit for inclusion in the Small Potatoes Book of Records.

From a neutral Unbiased view, the Waterford half foward line are sensational and great at fielding the high ball...they have the beating of the LK half back line.
LK have failed miserably to score goals in 3 of their 4 games unlike Waterford who have scored 6 wonderful goals thus far.
Definitely the LK full back line are weak, and with the brilliant full foward line Waterford have, they will get goals.
This is a fantastic "Opportunity " for Waterford and I wish them the Very Best of Luck.

The hurling championship has been brilliant and hopefully this will be another classic. Really looking forward to it. Limerick are deserving favourites but Waterford have been a revelation this year and they have every chance. I know it is a corny old cliche but may the best team win.
