Anybody hear Gary Lineker on this morning? He mentioned Joe Sheridan when talking about Maradona, missed the start of it so don't know why he brought up his name.

Both scored dodgy goals that were allowed to stand?

I remember Joe Sheridans but can't recall any dodgy Maradona goals ;-)

Flawed genius , he was a joy to watch. Sad to see him pass so young, i guess his lifestyle caught up with him.

Maradona used his Gaelic Football skills to score the first fisted goal in a World Cup finals.

Joe used his rugby skills to win the Leinster final on the same day as the 2010 World Cup final.

Maradona always said he preferred that alleged handball goal to the run from midfield second goal.

His reasoning was that he had "pinched the englishmans
pocket "

You have to love that.

Those of us lucky enough to be around at that time he was
playing know he was a genius.

He'd a fun time not a long time. My impression is that he wouldn't have had it any other way.

Once Maradona seen Cavan win Ulster he was happy enough to go. He often said he would love to see Mayo win Sam but added you cant live for ever.

When asked by an English journalist if he regretted the hand ball against England in the 86 world Cup he said his only regret was that he didn't scór 1 with his right hand as well.

Legend.
