Are The Rumours True?

Replying To TheUsername:  "Bigger picture is the GAA, arent to bothered about counties training in my opinion, yeah they will stick to government advice and be seen to prioritise the club game. But the initial bit about guidelines, Counties were always going to train.

Secondly now, leaving it up to clubs to report their county boards - in reality that is never going to happen when said club will be looking to their county boards for funds, grants, tickets etc, etc. Every county will be training in my opinion in some form or another and will be managing their players club loads, id be surprised if they weren't."
And the sanctions are on the management not the players.

Replying To arock:  "I wouldn't be too sure about clubs not reporting Inter-County training in Dublin, we are not talking about an ad hoc group of lads meeting up or going for a run. We are talking about organised training sessions - they won't happen for lots of reasons not least you won't be playing for your club and you are unisured."
Disagree to be honest.

They weren't training, in the same way managers aren't being paid, in the same way those holidays were historical trips, etc, etc.

If county managers get there players for one training session per week. I think everybody would be happy. If players want to train a night a week with there county let them there amateur players and nobody owns them . Don't treat them like children. If they train two nights a week with there club I'm sure club managers would be happy too.

This is the biggest storm in a tea cup.

Why not stop inter-county football all together? Jesus.

I bet you the lads want to train with the county themselves as they know it would be a level above what they do with club and these guys are competitive.

The pundits and officals mouthing about county teams training will be the very ones who will hop off teams and players in the national media in a few months if they do not put in a performance. Total hypocrisy

Surely there is a middle ground here, as other posters have suggested the county manager could have one session per week. Banning county teams from training is nonesense. The county manager should name the day he wants to train and let the clubs know.

Read it for yer selves.

Have to disagree with you there to be honest.

To be completely honest I think the phrase, 'to be honest' is relatively common and to be frank and honest I'd disagree with you there, just being honest.

Honestly examining a posters words and phrases is a little weird, to be honest.

Again if I'm honest, and to be honest with you I disagree.

Its an honest mistake to make to be honest. However as my honesty is honestly being called in the question, ill be honest and agree with your frank and honest assessment, its funny but honestly weird. Ive squeezed the pips at bit much here i honestly think. Apologies.

Best wishes,

I honestly think he's been caught rotten again mes and not for the first time.

Advancedmark just answered a post that was directed to username and again not for the first time.

I honestly think these posters with multiple accounts need to be banned from the forum.

I'd expect most counties will try and prepare their teams as best possible without crossing the line. I know a fairly obvious statement. It's a thin line though. Counties reacting to rumours of others' activity etc. Particularly from April to June.
