Strokestown beat Tulsk in Tulsk in the Northern Cup final today by 3 points. After a long injury lay off Sean Mullooly started for Strokestown while Cathal Compton didn't due to a recent hamstring injury.

No Tadgh O Rourke starting for Tulsk not sure if injury related or not.

A inconvenience but a correct call by GAA HQ to keep the dressing rooms shut for now.

The government from Monday aren't going to allow 500 attend games. Set back to 200. Not a correct call in my view.

Don't think Faithleachs will beat Aidan's by 10+. Most teams will play a blanket defence against them. Diarmuid Murtagh hasn't played any match with Faithleachs as he got injured doing extra training outside club I hear. His brother Ciarain got injured in a challenge match v Feurty. Huge losses for Faithleachs and county.

Oran and Dominic's will fancy their chances of getting up. Senior is between Clann and Pearses. Junior should see Kilglass come back up. Unlucky to get relegated last year.

The restrictions on crowds at opening weekends will be a blow to county board finances with high profile matches of Gaels v Western Gaels, Brids v Clann, Elphin v Strokestown and neighbours Castlerea v Eire Og. Only 50 tickets per club which will cause it's own problems. They will be hoping the streaming of Brids v Clann will bring in a few euro.

Huge losses for county? Are you suggesting both Murtagh brothers are ruled out through injury for the rest of the year?

It will be blow to every county board finances, I personally think its a ridiculous decision not to allow at least 500 at games.

I think it is ridiculous that it is limited to 200 people. I am still hoping this will be increased to 500. I assume it will be 100 tickets per club if there is only one game at the venue. I also assume there will be no neutrals allowed into the game.

Can't see clann being second favorites, we'll beat ya western gaels last year and walloped by boyle, they are a dangerous team but ros gaels and brigids/boyle/wgaels/strokestown wouldn't fear them

Is Brigids/Clann the only game going to be streamed next weekend or will there be a few games?

I agree based on last seasons performances but this year they will be better, they have a proper manager in place and from what i have heard they have had a full commitment from the players. They will need key players like Fergal Lennon and Ultan Harney to remain injury free and if they do they will trouble most teams. The Brigids game will be a good marker of where they are this season. I think Pearses are favourites but both gaels team and Brigids will not be far off them.

50 tickets per club, that will cause a lot of headaches for clubs!
