Hop in the boot of the sons car to get inside the grounds and give the missus the ticket. Meet in the terrace

That would be cheating though- would not be a nice thing to do in terms of fairness and equality and all that. Not in the spirit of sportsmanship

I think it is reckless to have any spectators there at all with the rising cases accruing

I agree in one way but we have to have an outlet- do spectators have to wear masks? How will commentators commentate while wearing masks adjacent to an anlalyst? Surely social distancing must take precedence and we cannot afford the cases to rise more than they have

I think it is foolish, we should be listening to Minister Harris and following the advisements from that Naphert crowd. That being said the county board really should be making this available to anyone who wants to watch the stream free if they have a Roscommon IP address and then charge the rest that live outside the county who want to watch it. It would be an incredible gesture that would bring a lot of good press to the county board.

One much more likely to pick up this virus indoors shopping than outdoors watching a match. Roscommon with its low infection rate should really be level 1 which means according to the government roadmap 500 spectators.

Yes I think you are correct. However it is that kind of laissez faire attitude that we should be worried about.many other counties have lower infection rates than us but they aren't level one either?? Therefore what do we do?? Give all the counties level one status and people start moving around?? It will lead to the virus peaking again and we won't get to see any county action. We need to be very careful here. we are by no means perfect with our control of this virus in this county.

I don't know where you are getting the low infection rate. We have cases nearly every day. Congregating big crowds together indoors or outdoors, it doesn't matter. We need to hold firm and be sensible about this.

well I wouldn't agree with that now- even when we were in lockdown we couldn't do that- people need provisions and so forth

Getting it from daily government and hse published figures. It certainly matters as the vast majority of cases are now caught and spread indoors.

Now back to discussion on the two football County finals this Sunday

Ah will ye stop this virus is going to be here for another year or so we have to live with it.

Enough of the covid lets get back to talking about the fixturess at the weekend.

Oran vs Dominics

This could be a very exciting game but i think its time for Oran to make the step up and they are in a great position to be a senior club outstanding club ground and great underage set up. i think if they get up they will stay up.

Five cases yesterday confirmed which is alarming. I think football should be taking a back seat until this is sorted out.

Oran will certainly be encouraged with the way Tulsk performed in the senior championship which included a win over the defending champions Pearses. If they gain promotion they could be boosted by the return of G Keenan, J Fitzpatrick next year.

Dominics a banana skin for them Saturday though as Faithleachs many peoples favourite for that county title found out.

There is about 10 counties at least that should be level 1. Dublin are now finally going into level 3 about 2 weeks to late. That late action won't help the chances of the Inter County championships starting in November.

What's going on in your own county Leitrim? from no cases in month to now 27 cases in the last 14 days.

Sundays Roscommon county senior final should be a win for Pearses by a few points to spare. Afterall they have 5 senior County starters and Brigids just have the one in Brian Stack.
