Surely Faithleachs have to be favorites? Oran, kilmore and Castlerea would all be in the reckoning to i would imagine.

Pearses will be favourites rightly so for the senior championship this year and I would say Roscommon Gaels will again be right there. I also think Clann with Liam Kearns in charge will improve and I hear that they have a number of key players back with the squad this year who were not available last year. If that is the case then they will be a much improved team from last year especially under the stewardship of a top manager. I would love to see Eire Og doing well this year with Cox signed but I feel that Oran could be the team to beat in this years championship. As for Junior B i think it will be Clann or Brigids but I always like to see a club whose first team win it, Ballinameen always show promise but then fail at the last hurdle.

Brigids mad short. Can never right them off but would be some achievement if they win it. Serious young panel and they will be some force in a few years but a few years too soon. Padraig Kelly and Senan should he travel will be massive losses.

Would love to see the winner come from western gaels,Ros Gaels,Stokestown or Boyle but each jist lack something that you need to win a county title.

Pearses rightly favourites and the team to beat but Clann if they get the act together well capable of beating them. Depends which Clann turns up though they could easily end up in relagation battle if they play like they did last year. Jack back from the US and Ultan and Fergal Lennon back fit will make them much more competitive than last year.

As I said to SmokieRoss a few weeks ago that the July 20th date for contact training would be brought forward.

June 29th gives clubs enough time to prepare now and so long as the virus remains contained we should have a good competitive club championships to look forward too without any stoppages.

Senior level Pearses are deserved favourites and the team to beat. Clann could be a main challengers with a stronger panel and better management in place. Brigids not to be ruled out but they aren't at the level they once were.

Intermediate. Faithleachs shouldn't be down there and need to bounce back straight away. Oran look like their main challenger.

Not sure if we needed the play offs added back in? Would probably be better to bring the finals forward a week.

Going by GPA report it looks like a few players will be understandably opting out. The risk of catching the virus is much less in this country now than in April but players will underlining conditions or happen to be living with elderly parent will still be concerned.

I dont agree with bringing the finals forward what benefit would that have? Club players want a good season.

Im not sure on the accuracy of that GPA report i know from my own club and surronding clubs no players are opting out. If i am not mistaken that report was carried out a number of weeks ago when the situation was a lot different, i myself did not want one of my sons going back who has Asthma but i have no problem with him going back now with the rates as low as they are

Think there could be surprise winners in all codes this year. Teams with big squads will be at a great advantage as injuries are going to come thick and fast with the hard ground and guys returning after three months.

Apparently there could be issues with availability of referees and the increase in cases in the under 35s in Ireland in recent days will alarm a lot of people.

Incidentally despite the months designated solely for club players the inter county players are being given two nights of county training to do. Where is the CPA and what are they doing about it. The move of dates was because of county team and hurling board.

We will still have a good season regardless when the final is played. Contact training was brought forward 2 weeks so bringing the finals forward a week seemed a more natural thing to do.

Let's hope the numbers remain low and more people players are confident to returning to action but my point is if any players do opt out I think the public should accept and understand their position.

What surprise will there be if its the clubs with the strongest picks that reach the final?

The dates of the start of the inter County championships has stayed the same mid October as has collective training mid September. Open to correction but I don't think county players will be insured if they returned to collective training before the set dates by HQ.

Good to hear a number of our club championships games will be streamed online, something that should have been done years ago but better late than never.
