Wexford got the classic treatment from O'Niells this year which usually suits their kits better Breezy (Limerick) - Posts: 1236 - 10/12/2019 01:58:52 2254048 Link 0 |
Last year's one with the black coming across diagonally over the chest was brutal, looked like a star trek uniform. This year's one not a huge improvement - still has the round collar which I hate, the stripes are too broad, there's too much black coming in from all different angles and it's supposed to be black and AMBER, not black and yellow. O'Neill's must have a surplus of yellow material left over from other counties, because for the past 7 or 8 years the amber has been diluted down to a sickly shade of yellow.

The new shades of bright yellow seems to be a trend all right. Probably the same reason who there is so much illuminous in the training tops and change kits in some sports now

I'm loathe to say anything against any county colours, for the obvious reason that there are few topics that will so obviously demonstrate your own, or rile other peoples prejudices. That said, there's one county whose colours couldn't be more of a blank slate if they tried, and I just don't see the point, or how anyone could get excited about putting it one. And seriously, it must be a divil to keep clean. festinog (Galway) - Posts: 3143 - 16/12/2019 02:05:02 2255078 Link 1 |
Most Azzurri jerseys are fairly bad in my opinion. Particulary bad one sticks out in my head is Donegal republican (Sligo) - Posts: 348 - 16/12/2019 11:01:05 2255110 Link 0 |
There's not enough variety in the GAA market, O'Neill's are too dominant. There's a crowd called Masita (presumably the same crowd who used to do those football gloves), they do some nice designs at club level if you check their website, but I don't think they have any county contracts.

Their stuff always looks cheap, and anything I've seen in the shops confirms this in my opinion.
