Replying To MesAmis:  "I hear it from the majority of the dublin people who come down here on their holidays that none of the dublin footballers work during the championship,

Yes the dubs players have jobs but the dublin county board pickup the tab while they're concentrating on their football for 3 months of the summer.

So just to get this straight, what you are saying is that Dublin players en masse, leave their jobs every summer, and that the Dublin County Board pays them over the summer, and that the Dublin players are then given their jobs back once the Championship is over?

Do you not realise how utterly ridiculous and completely unworkable that is?

It is so obviously untrue that it is amazing that any one would actually believe that but somehow you have."

Replying To KingdomBoy1:  "How do dublin spend the second highest amount of money in the country on their teams every year considering they don't have to leave their own county to play their games?"
If I was to guess I would say that more people equals more money. Just a guess mind you. One, of course, could ask the same question of the KCB and the millions pumped into it by their sugar daddys in KG. Where does that money go to, other than into the denby dinner sets in the palatial centre of excellence.

"The majority of Dublin people who come down here on their holidays...". Love it KB. Best one yet lad. Checkpoint Charlie Nelligan is how you should be known going forward. I can see ye now stopping the Dub registered cars on their way into Killarney and questioning them on the greatest panel of players to ever grace the game :)

PS - the only Dub players off work this week were those who couldn't get around your Masseys and they preventing us hard working, tax paying metropolitans from getting into the grindstone to earn a few bob in order to pay back to you in beef subsidies.

What a weak response.

I'm asking you to explain to me how your claim works and yet you refuse to engage instead posting some a cliché synonymous with bs.

Explain why you think that the Dublin players en masses quit their jobs every spring and are hired back every autumn.

If "there's no smoke without fire" it should be easy enough to explain it to us all.

Over to you.

An informative article below

There's no doubt that the majority of footballers/hurlers have a more flexible number at certain times of year

Doesn't make them professionals though

It's just commonsense that they can't be in two places at once and the level of training now puts far greater demands on players. If an employer is understanding and gives them the time needed then fair fecks to them, without that level of understanding we'd be losing more players.

Players getting very accommodating jobs while playing amateur sport has always been a thing. Juventus used handy jobs at the Fiat factory to lure players. Suits the companies to be seen patronising the player

Dont know why people are responding. Its a non issue and Kerry lads are just letting themselves down, doing more damage to esteem, dignity and their county identity then any response could.

The only thing at play here is Kerry's insecurity here. The facts speak for them selves. In the past 20 years both Tyrone and Dublin have just utterly dominated them cumulatively in two different eras. It harks back to the suspicion that their success is down to the geographical lottery, the short run to the final or dodging dominant teams like Tyrone or Dublin.

Thats hard to tolerate, because acknowledging that say teams like Tyrone and Dublin being superior really hurts and leads to that insecurity and they project and go on the attack.

The response is the smear campaigns, Tyrone were all puke football and ruining the game, Dublin its professional players and money. You could go on, really let yourself down down stuff and stuff to be pitied, like Gough in the summer.

What does a frighten animal do when there is no long grass to hide on.

Wow I thought your original reply of "no smoke without fire" was weak but you've really surpassed yourself this time. Bravo!

So let us all get this straight, you're now claiming that Admin, having let you make a completely unsubstantiated claim, are now blocking your detailed explanation of said unsubstantiated claim.

That's priceless.

So you're sticking by the two ridiculous claims?

1. That the Dublin footballers all leave their jobs in the spring, and get paid directly by the County Board, and then get rehired in the Autumn.

2. That Admin let you post the above completely unsubstantiated ráiméis but won't let you explain how it works.
