He was a fantastic player for Donegal. I loved watching him bombing up the wing and get on the end of a team move with a tidily finished point. I think he was at the end of brilliantly worked team goal for Donegal in an Ulster championship game a couple of years ago too, it was definitely a contender for goal of the season that year.

A credit to Donegal and the GAA. One of those guys that no-one has a bad word to say about. Enjoy your retirement Frank.

Super player, got on with his job and came up with some excellent scores. One of them players that you would love to have on your own team. Good luck in your retirement.

Had trials at Everton at one point too I believe. I had the pleasure of playing soccer against him when we were younger. Needless to say, he ran rings around us.

Happy retirement Frank and thanks for all the great days you gave to Donegal football, Frank will always be remembered and he will be sorely missed.

Was supposed to have been a super soccer player. I suppose we were lucky that he didn't get the call up. We got to watch him play for Donegal instead. Not one person in the stands had a bad word to say about him, ever, whether Donegal supporter or opposition supporter. Class, class player. Seems to have been around forever too. A lot of the old guard have retired now from the ranks. Frank's retirement sunk in a bit more today and its a hard thing to take, more so than other lads, no disrespect to them. It must be very difficult for him too as he obviously enjoyed playing a lot. He is going to be a very hard act to follow.

Great to see so many complimentary comments about Frank from a wide range of posters. I am really going to miss seeing him in Donegal colours. Certainly one of my all time favourite players.
