Replying To kingofclubs:  "Quarter finals are not always played in neutral venues. For example, Meath played Longford in the quarter final in Pearse Park in 2018."
Same year Westmeath Vs Laois was in Tullamore, as was Kildare and Carlow, Dublin Vs Wicklow was in PL.

The Longford game in Pearce was an anomaly, maybe to help with the cost of the redevelopment.

Yourselves and Cork get a bye to the semi finals every year!"
Ah hello! Munster finalists get a bye but can be drawn against each other in the semi-finals. Kerry v Cork in next year's semi-final. The loser will start out in the 2021 quarter-finals. Have a nice evening!

Leinster footballers have to go on strike. It's the only way to get the county boards to listen.

Munster footballers should do likewise except there are no footballers there. Outside of Kerry they're all hurlers.

Should make for a much more unpredictable outcome alright. 81 titles and counting.

How did that work out for Munster footballers?

Yet Munster is the only province this decade to have had more than one All Ireland winner...

Then the county boards will go fine....accept the lower revenues mean you county players get less well taken care off as well...two edged sword

It is ridiculous the Leinster council have not given Westmeath home advantage. They are given up the chance of a full county ground in order to have a three quarters empty Croke park. There's no logic to their decision making

It's also the only province that offered no competition to teams wanting to walk into an AI quarter final.

There is no way this game should be played in cusack park. Zero parking, can only hold about 10,000 people, and the biggest reason of all, no area to warm up. It has to be the only provincial ground in Ireland with no warm-up area..

What's wrong with warming up on the pitch?

Every Munster county bar Waterford have been in an All Ireland quarter final this decade. How did that happen?

Limerick got through in 11 having beaten Waterford and Wexford in the qualifiers. They were obliterated by Kerry in the qtrs. Clare were also hammered in 16 by Kerry in the qtrs. Neither county has dared surface since. I had great hope for that Tipp team who made a semi. It would have been fantastic had they got through to the big day but it wasn't to be. Alas the small ball takes precedence in Munster. Football is for poor hurlers in the south.

With all due respect, oh you donkey!

The footballers of Clare, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford strike action got the current agreement of provincial finalists being given a bye to semi-finals but being able to draw each other.

It happened. It's proof that Leinster footballers can get the county boards to listen if they have the courage to do so.

Sure that was the situation in Munster. The Munster Council wanted a Cork v Kerry final. It generates revenue. The Clare, Tipperary, Limerick and Waterford footballers had to take strike action to achieve fixture equity.

The footballers of Westmeath, Meath, Louth, Wicklow, Wexford, Carlow, Offaly, Laois, Longford and Kildare will have to take strike action for venue equity. It's the only way to achieve venue equity when their respective county boards are too subservient.
