English and Irish both count. I reckon Cuala is the shortest in both languages.

How about Cnoc Na Sionnach Caban Tsile at 24.

Don't think you'll find shorter than Emo (Laois). Irish version of it seems to be Ioma. Both shorter than Cuala.

Actual official name of the Enniscorthy club that's called Rapparees in hurling and Starlights in football is 'Enniscorthy Hurling and Football Club'. That's 33 characters. 37 if you count spaces....

Dromcollogher/Broadford (22) and on the short side Oola or Doon (4) are the best I can think of from Limerick

There's a rumour that a couple of Irish lads in Wales are going to start a club called Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch Gaels.

If they struggle for numbers, the next parish over is called Llangristiolus Rhostrehwfa, so the two clubs could join up together.

I'm sure there's many a club out there with the official name "X Gaelic Athletic Association" so there's 25 letters off the bat. You'd only need a 9 letter name (Bally-name) to reach 34 characters.

Ach - we're going to have to set some rules here. Some folk are including Gaelic Athletic Club for an extra 18 letters and some aren't.

I might be wrong, but I think Knockavilla-Donaskeigh Kickhams would be the longest club name in Tipp

Ah but di these small town name clubs have a patriot name attached.

Eg moy Tir Na Nog.

I see Oola doesn't though. So Oola is in the lead for the shortest.

Spa looks like the winner. There is nothing added.

I wonder what people shout from the sidelines.

"Come in Spa?"
