Theres been a hell of an improvement in the hurlers in the last few years. The advantages have done a lot for the hurlers.

They will never ever be held in high esteem by anyone outside of Dublin or soup takers on RTE. That's the whole issue - it's a meaningless farce. Their success is bought and paid for by the GAA, right back to when GAA took over fundraising in Dublin in the 90s to when they setup a special committee to concentrate on Dublin in early 00s to the 25 million + pumped into them. Their all Ireland medals are worthless. Be better pawning them and raising money for the thousands of homeless on the streets of the county.

We arguably had a better team in the early 90s Greengrass under Lar Foley with McMahon, Boland, the Ryans and the lads from Faughs That was without millions, although Galway weren't in Leinster then.

Muck football?? What are you on about? The quality of Dublin's play is exceptional (and I say that as a neutral) - we're lucky to witness of the best players to ever play the game - Cluxton, Fenton, Kilkenny etc. Despite the doom and gloom, we've seem Munster, Leinster and Ulster finals where the result was in doubt until the very end. Dublin's winning margin in the past five finals has averaged at less that 3 point per game, and there have been two replays. Not the crisis that some make it out to be. This Dublin team will fade, just like the Kerry team that won 8 finals between 75 and 86, and the Kilkenny team that won hammered Waterford, Clare and Limerick in finals, winning 11 out of 15 during their reign. football first (None) - Posts: 1259 - 07/12/2020 09:21:18 2319628 Link 3 |

Digging the hole?? This is incredible Joxer, 2 days ago I said hurling is more a skilful game than football and Dublin's AIG sponsored S&C program holds more weight in football than its does in hurling, you claimed this is garbage and I subsequently asked you why you think this is the case, seems you are still unable to answer this straightforward question. bostonredsox (Wexford) - Posts: 4368 - 08/12/2020 13:40:10 2320223 Link 0 |
