We know that but it's about Laois today and fair play to them. I did think Laois would give Dublin a fair rattle but thought that the unfairness on them of having to play a week after winning the McDonagh would catch up with them and that Dublin would get there. Delighted for them and hope they can keep the score down next week but will be an even tougher ask now given the opposition and having to play 3 weeks in a row (if not more)

A most satisfactory trip to Mr Power's betting establishment for me this morning.

Always worth a flutter on a single game. I backed Monaghan against Dublin in 2014... Monaghan were 10-1...and lost my money...Doubled up a few weeks later with Donegal at 8/1 again against Dubs..and made out well. How about Cork at 16/1 against Dubs on Saturday?

Forget all that, I've got Cork for the All Ireland hurling at 7/1 last week

Poor enough odds when you consider they have to beat Kilkenny, Limerick and Laois/Tipp/Wexford to do it and havent really shown any real form yet this summer?

They are a great price... I was in two minds Tipp were 3/1 but I couldn't resist Cork at 7/1. That's the beauty of it they have shown no form and nobody is taking about them but they have the potential and they are in the perfect position to spring an ambush and the Cork boys definitely know how to ambush ya!!

In my opinion it was a free bet. Occasionally the bookies do get the handicap spectacularly wrong. Except for the 1st two weeks in the provincial championships, I have won my handicap doubles and trebles every hurling weekend. Laois were +8 on Sunday.
