As a passionate county with excellent support, why does Waterford not have their own forum please?

Having this discussion with family and friends there is a calculated decision to stay off these forums by Waterford people. Not so long ago the abuse and vitrol dished out against our young players got out of hand. So the best way to protect them is not to engage. I myself found it difficult to have meaningful debate without it getting personal. Agree or disagree.
Also don't worry about us supporting out team we are always there for them.

It would be a sad state of affairs if having your own county forum was an indication of your passion for hurling! I havent looked at, or contributed, to the Galway hurling forum on this site for a couple of years and I doubt I have missed much!

Always supporting them in 'Spirit' if not actually physically there at the ground.

You're a bit fragile if the stuff said on Hoganstand gets you upset.

Yeah, they've stopped winning All Irelands since they let their county Forum slip!

boards.ie will only not allow threads if its complete repeat of previous threads/its libellous/trolling in very bad way
they dont premoderate posts either...

I asked the same about my own Offaly some years ago only to find out they have one, I found it a bit finnicky at first, but it is actually very good forum and we do have good debate on it...I wouldnt be one for slating players on it, and most dont, you will always find one or two to go down that road, but as I said on it last week (the offaly forum) I raised the issue of whether Michael Fennelly should stay on (or not) and a poster on it told me it was unhelpful to be even floating the idea etc...I replied that I was sure the Offaly county board wouldnt have the screen shots of our detbates on Uibhfhailli.com at the county board meeting when discussing the management of our senior hurling team...I was hoping Waterford might have won Sunday after beating Kilkenny and all, but you will aggree the best team won and Limerick are a nice outfit of players whom have had their own barron spell, I hope Waterford get over the line under Liam Cahill, he appears to be a good manager, he needs, if he can to get back a few on the panel whom as far as I know he did not pick for the current year...all the best next year.

I agree with you about this site, too many people unable to engage in debate resorting to shooting the messenger and personal vitriol….you can't beat civilized debate and if one is unable or disinterested in debate refrain from insulting fellow posters.
