Replying To maroondiesel:  "looks like Cavan and Ros for the drop. How big was Roscommon mistake against Tyrone?"
I'd look more to round 1 v Mayo that we lost by 1 point. We had 9 place ball efforts at goal and only scored one of them if Cox had played he would have scored number of those frees that were missed. The mistake was not having Cox available for selection for that game due the unnecessary transfer of clubs.

Also we took a very bad time to start losing against Cavan and that looks to be Cavan's only win.

Sunday Sport will be class.

Makes for an interesting Sunday afternoon. I'm going for a Kerry, Tyrone final but I have been wrong before.

I think monaghan will beat Mayo as a matter of urgency to stay up.
I think Tyrone will continue their winning streak and beat Galway but it will be very close. Roscommon and Cavan to go down and Tyrone and kerry to contest the final with Tyrone winning it.

Replying To Game2Halves:  "Yes I got to agree with you, they haven't a clue and did say Tyrone were basically out of it despite the win which is a strange comment when all Tyrone have to do is win one game and Mayo to loose against Monaghan who are fighting for survival.

It was Tyrones first win against the mighty Dubs in six years and also beat them in Croke park. But what did O'Rourke and Spillane have to say about that......Dublin are treating the league as a training exercise the win is of no significance. Please RTE move these two guys on...their personal dislike of Northern teams and Tyrone in general is exhausting for someone looking for unbiased commentary."
agree...O'Rourke and Spillane are dinosaurs, they bring nothing to the sunday game and need to be replaced by someone who looks more deeply into each match ups and listens to what the locals are saying - even if they read through HS once or twice a week...i love to hate tyrone but ill always rate them...i called that win vrs dublin (u hammered us and we beat dublin, its hardly supernatural)...i work with a fella from meath and he straight away dismissed tyrone before the game as not good enough and afterwards that dublin weren't trying... absolutely insane...theres an awful stigma against ulster that needs to be nipped in the bud...

That would do nicely ;)

That could see us stay up on score difference. . .I won't hold me breath.

Let them go out and try to win the match anyway.....who knows results could go your way and it could be one of the great escapes!!

The odds being quoted on Cavan staying at up are astounding, over 500/1 if quoted at all.
What needs to happen?
1. Cavan to beat a second string Dublin with nothing to play for. At home and life on the line.
2. Mayo to beat monaghan by 5+ points in castlebar, themselves needing to win
3. A draw in the Hyde.

No leg of this is a ridiculous long shot. All 3 together? We shall see.

Madge,

1. That so called 2nd Dublin team are seasoned performers desperate to impress Jim Gavin.

2. Mayo have no great interest in a league final hence the team they need. Horan more concerned about building a squad for super 8's.

3. One of the best attacking sides in div 1 against a team (presently) with worse defense.

Good Luck!

Dublin have named 8 of their AI final team so far from a second string team. Team Mayo have named gives Monaghan a better chance of winning and Kerry top of the table should be able to beat Roscommon who have lost 3 games in a row and have gone back to conceding big scores once again.

Kerry have nothing to lose, almost definitely in the final. Roscommon have everything to lose, will play to the last to stay up and always difficult to beat in Hyde Park. Roscommon to win and we'll beat Monaghan to ensure 3 from 5 Connacht teams will be in Division One in 2020. No bother !

Depends on what Roscommon team turns up. The lack of energy and will to win last weekend was very worrying as was the big score conceded against a Galway team that wasn't scoring high in this league. Kerry have players all playing for a place in that final and its a stronger Kerry team starting Sunday than what started against Mayo with S Ryan,J Sherwood,D O'Connor,D Clifford named to start.

Anyway we live in hope and at least we still have a chance of staying up with one game to play unlike 2017 when we were already relegated before the round 7 game.

We were somewhat lucky to stay up this year. However showed enough in the last 3 games to show we are still at the level required for Div 1.
Not one to overly complain about refs but today he was poor IMO.
The one hope is that the group know that improvement is needed and have a lot to work on for the championship and a couple of key players to come back. Super 8s has to be a target

Most improved team in the Division - Tyrone
Best Player- O Shea (closely followed by Harte)

Yew ye'r boys blew our young lads out of the water last week in Tralee so I can see only one winner next Sunday.

Physically ye'r lads are a couple of years ahead of ours.

The only hope we have is if we can keep the ball out of contact as much as possible and use the width of croker to move the ball.
