Congrats to Meath today .. if Fermanagh could shoot we'd trouble anyone And should have been 8 or 9 to no score up after 10 mins .. until we figure out how to score though we won't trouble too many. Funny though if Meath hadn't conceded that late goal to Donegal that time we'd be in div 1 next years.. still though a very good league for Fermanagh and the championship can't come fast enough now !

Replying To thecraw1:  "Kildare people always seem to have an excuse blaming managers or referees or pitches or weather maybe the players need to have a look at themselves. I know you have lost players this year but you did win a u20 all Ireland so should be better than you have been showing not always the managers fault"
I'd venture a guess I've seen more of Kildare than you have my friend. Players play to the game plan given and that only comes from one place. Newbridgeornowhere rescued O'Neill last year from an abject league and a loss to Carlow but you can't have a newbridgeornowhere every year to get you back on track. Yes a few players were missing but the slow lateral play isn't caused by that, it's the way they are conditioned to play. 4 points accumulated over three second halves of league games shows an absence of an attacking plan. Not packing the defence against the wind today isn't too clever either. These are basics management should be in place. And listening to Cian on the radio today he was mystified as to what is going wrong in games. Not what you want to hear from your manager.

Disagree you were taking shots from way out because of a strong wind behind your backs, a lot of teams tend to do this you were not good enough to work the ball in. 15 men behind the ball at all times sickening to watch I cannot believe fermanagh have been praised so highly when that's the way they play football

Congrats Meath on topping the table. Congrats our lads for getting the promotion. Good luck in league 2 final, the main thing both teams will take from this is promotion.

I knew that our season hinged on the Cork game. It could so easily have been the wrong result, but it wasn't and here we are.

I know it is a hard thing to be relegated but Cork must get on with it now and just go straight back up to division 2 without even thinking about it. Hard luck to Tipp and Congrats to Clare for surviving without needing favours.

Don't understand fermanagh mentality. Today they at least needed a win but when losing stilled pulled everyone behind the ball when they had a strong wind. Meath really could have just kicked the ball over and back across the pitch to run down the clock and really should have even though it would have been an horrific spectacle. Similar to the clip of the northern schools match that was floated on social media a few weeks ago. There has to be a rule change whereby 4 towards must stay in each half and ball can not return back past half way. Congrats to meath.

Good performance from Donegal today but Kildare were very poor. I thought Kildare would be a tough assigment but worringly didnt look up for the game today. Hopefully they can regroup for the championship as they are a good side.

Congrats to Meath who were definitely the best team in div 2 this year. I was impressed with them when they played Donegal in Ballybofey so not surprised they have been promoted. Hard luck on Fermanagh who had a good campaign. If they could offer a bit more going forward they would be tough to beat. They score about 10/11 points a game which wont beat the top sides.

Looking forward to the final next weekend against Meath. Should be a good game.

Ah here we go .. on many occasions today to Meath had everyone back too ... but let's not speak of that ... we dominated the opening 20 mins but never showed it on score board .. we had something like 20 wides today crazy stuff

Congrats to Meath. I hope you fare better in D1 than ourselves and Cavan. Well done to Donegal also. As for Fermanagh, I'm not convinced that they really wanted promotion.

Won well in the end, but Fermanagh could have been well in front after 15/20 minutes if they had taken their scores. Looking forward to next week to see how we preform at CP.

Replying To jimski:  "Take the #newbridgeornowhere game against Mayo out and we have had an an atrocious 15 months - 7 losses in Division One, humiliating loss to Carlow in Leinster and now a hugely disappointing Division Two campaign where we have only beaten the 3 relegation candidates. O'Neill's tactics, team selections and substitutions all leave a lot to be desired. Yes the players have to take blame also - their discipline has been poor with too many cards and many have under-performed - but O'Neill keeps selecting these same players regardless. The goodwill from the Mayo game is long gone........"
Championship is make or break for Cian. He lived off hammering Meath and a lesser loss to Dublin then everyone else in Leinster. Then last year the huge win over Mayo. So you need something big this year. Either beat Dublin or a good run into the super 8's again.
