In general depending on age groups. should it be different for half time in under 12 compared to under 14/16 or minor and what about junior and senior games? DonaldDuck (Tipperary) - Posts: 544 - 13/08/2018 19:44:39 2132906 Link 0 |
Ten minutes is sufficient for most matches but for the Intercounty matches I think it should be 15 - and no more please!!!! carlowman (Carlow) - Posts: 1870 - 13/08/2018 21:43:56 2132958 Link 0 |
I dont think 10 minutes is needed for a lot of games. For underage games especially i would have 5 minutes max.

Couldn't agree more about the time between double headers-it's ridiculous. There are warm up areas in most county grounds nowadays. Two teams off, next two come on, 15 min warm up, start match. Simple

For hurling 5 mins, to get back to watching the action, in the case of football, enough time to drink as many pints as possible to numb the senses of what's to come. Uimhir.a.3. (Galway) - Posts: 409 - 14/08/2018 00:00:28 2133017 Link 0 |
15 minutes and deduct a point per minute late off of any team that wants to come out late. Trump2020 (Galway) - Posts: 2484 - 14/08/2018 03:39:30 2133031 Link 0 |
depending on where the match is,that can be an issue at an u14 game too!!!! (OK my tongue is in cheek there) perfect10 (Wexford) - Posts: 3929 - 14/08/2018 11:30:04 2133113 Link 0 |
absolutely.it turns many wexford supporters off staying for the 2nd match. having said that, there is no 2nd pitch near wexford park. perfect10 (Wexford) - Posts: 3929 - 14/08/2018 11:31:06 2133115 Link 0 |

Fair question but I'd say to eliminate excuses of not getting back out on time, bathroom breaks, dress a wound, etc. Also for the fans in the stands to go use the restrooms, buy a drink, etc. Is 15 minutes totally unreasonable? Trump2020 (Galway) - Posts: 2484 - 14/08/2018 17:47:57 2133336 Link 0 |
Why do they need a break in hurling - it's not as if they were doing any running in the game, just some 'ping-pong'.

Not so long that the referee needs to go get them anyway, that's for sure! StoreysTash (Wexford) - Posts: 1817 - 14/08/2018 20:00:10 2133378 Link 0 |
