I dont see that as beating a top team as Galway after 2001 in 00s were not a top team a top 5 or 6 team. They didnt win a match in Croker in 00s or couldnt win a qualfier game in 00s eitheir. Didnt reach a All Ireland semi final since 2001 and between 2002 and 2012 reached 1 All Ireland quarter final( Could be wrong with that stat they might have reached 2 but I think only 1 quater final, open to correction there). From 2006 mid 00s into late 00s and early part of this decade, Galway were beaten in the championship by Meath twice, Westmeath, Sligo, Wexford, Antrim and nearly lost to Waterford. Their first win in qualifiers since 2001 in early part of this decade was v Waterford footballers. Mayo in the same time period reached 4 All Ireland senior finals. When Meath beat Galway in 07 and Westmeath in 06 they werent a top team. Again only victories v top opposition by leinster teams outside the provience since 2000 besides Dublin are In 2001 Meath beating All Ireland champions kerry, In 2001 Westmeath beating National league div 1 winners, two time all Ireland finalist and three time Connacht winners Mayo, In 2006 Laois beating reigning All Ireland champions Tyrone, In 2007 Meath beating reigning All Ireland champions Tyrone and the only win in this decade by leinster team v top 5 or 6 team outside leinster besides Dublin was in 2016 when Longford defeated Monaghan two time Ulster champions and a team who have been in the top 5 or 6 teams for the last 5 years in a row."]I should have made clearer that Galway after 2001 in the 00s didnt win in Croker in the championship and didnt win a qualifier game til they defeated Waterford footballers in 2010, 2011 or 2012. And in this decade is incredibly rare, it is only happened once. Im not talking about the past Im talking this era , the current era and the fact is only 1 leinster team in this decade has beaten a top team, a top division 1 team outside the provience besides Dublin. And that only victory by leinster team beating top 5 or 6 team since 2010 was Longford beating Monaghan in 2016. That is the best victory any leinster team has had outside the provience since 2010. That is an indication of how weak leinster football is besides the Dubs. PS JR iarmhi, yep thats another victory. Wexford v Armagh in 08. I forgot about that one. Im just remebering games off the top of my head, so I do miss one or two. Where Armagh in decline in 08 ? it was 6 years since they won Sam in 08. Where they in the top 5 or 6 teams in the country in 2008. They were in divsion 2 in 2008 and 2009. But I will take that as another victory v top team for leinster football. JR Iarmhi, what do you think would you include it?. So that would be six victories for leinster teams v top oppostion since 2000. But only 1 of those 6 victories occured in this decade the other 5 were in the 00. Leinster football was more competitive inside and outside the provience in the 00s. it has fallen of the cliff in this decade with exception of Dublin of course. I call b/s. Meath won't stay the course for an entire c'ship but a tea with tradition can always lift it to knock a so-called favourite off their perch. This is a weakened Tyrone team afflicted by some odd selection decisions. Nobody in Tyrone I've spoken to would be too surprised if Tyrone lost - and some wouldn't care if it meant we could get players back for the club competitions. Given that Tyrone's exit without winning Sam is inevitable, whether that exit is tomorrow or later on hardly matters.

Jesus I'm nearly up for Meath, despite the nonsense that comes from some of their historians on here. Meaths record in the qualifiers is probably as bad as it gets but they always have belief and I do think they're capable of having a good day.
