As customers Should we see Referee reports

Tomsmith here I am not making any reference to recent issues about any Referee, but a general comment that we as the paying customers should see sight of the Referees reports after a game. This could refer to club games as well as county games where after a period of time would elapse we could see sight of the report. It may give us some insight into how poor Referees see incidents and deal with them all in a few moments and with a lot of pressure from a baying crowd. I think referees are a bit like politicians, you have to be a certain breed and mad enough to do the job in the first place. it would be good to see the reports where there has been controversial incidents, ie. Most of us know already what a difficult job match officials have. Possibly it would lead to some ambulance-chasing solicitors looking for players with a grievance and picking holes in the new evidence. And it would more ammunition to trolls. Nothing would be achieved from this that would be positive for the game. It's a private document and other than ref and the assessors the only people who should see assessment forms are those who get a refs permission. The reports are submitted to the county board and, where disciplinary issues are concerned, they are sent out to the club / county involved. There is absolutely no need for any one else to see them. Well I can tell you that everyone other that poor auld Joe Sop cane see the reports. The County Board, the Clubs involved, the players involved, If it is a County game the Counties involved and if it goes to an appeal the Provincial Council members . So who is left in the dark. County secretaries will get the intercounty ones. Speak to your club secretary if you want to see those as well. Members of the GAA can get access to them if they so wish. why would you want to see a refs report? all these keyboard warrior analysts or just plain know all but know f-all commenting looking to see ref reports or looking this that or the other player banned { including those on tv as well } is getting boring. Yes refs make mistakes, they are only human and have to make a decision in the blink of an eye without the aid of technology or sitting in the stand watching the off the ball stuff. Time that tmo's are introduced as well as requiring the umpires to be referees and the 4th official watching off the ball stuff as his only roll is to watch a clock hold up a board and record subs. What next will you be looking to see as a paying punter? the managers notes/game plan, the player stats in real time. Well can tell you that the Referee should not made fundamental playing rule errors. Mr Mc Cabe if you were training a team for six to seven month and a Referee makes an error that causes you the game would you not feel that at the least he would come and apologise to you after he discovers his error. Just because you might be a GAA member? This gives you no right!!! Would be the same to look for details of disciplinary procedures taken against a fellow employee in your job.
