5 week gap will be a big hurdle for Cork as they are nearly forgotten about at the moment. Waterford have a 3 week lay off and are going through the disruption of an appeal process at the moment so neither ideal. Cork have got over a 4 week break already this year after Tipp.
So far Cork look to be more tuned in than Waterford this year but the memory of 2014 is still very fresh and can they pick up where they left off ? Their performance rate also slipped between the Waterford and Clare games. Also it is Waterford's 3rd semi-final in a row so they are experienced and it's now or never under the current set-up. Wouldn't rule out a draw and replay. Should be fascinating.....

When Cork played Waterford the last time Waterford went in to the game as favourites now it is the other way round Cork must now be the favourites and no team wants to be ranked as the favourites

What ever way it goes hopefully it is good game. Though neighbourly rivals its is a respectful one, both players and fans. Prediction that it will not reassembly the msf in anyway and Waterford to win comfortable.

cant see this game being anything like the munster semi final...we still had the element of surprise vs waterford in the semi, it was also a hot hot day which may have played a part in this game also..Austin Gleeson was non existant vs cork the last day and i cant see that happening again,,in the games vs tipp,waterford and clare i just feel like their performances were very flat against us..whether that was cork outperforming them or just being early in the season i cant judge..de burca is a big loss and to be fair he should not be suspended as i feel the suspension and indeed red was very harsh on him..this cork team have done us very proud this season and whatever happens this year has been a great success for cork hurling..i just cannot call this game at this moment..waterford are well used to all ireland semis while this cork team are full of young lads who have barely played a game in croke park...having said that the more senior lads will want to amend the result vs tipp in 2014..so im going to go with heart over head and say cork will win this semi

I would love it love it if Waterford win Sunday, I can't help it I'll always have a soft spot for the Waterford senior hurling team from Big Dan to Maurice to Mullane (i's love my county) to Austin Glesson (potentially the greatest hurler of all time) I just love something about Waterford hurling team.

Also I've seen Cork win All Ireland's a good few times in my lift time I've never seen Waterford or Galway win so it would be great to see new winners this year.

I think Waterford will win last year they should have beaten KK twice!!
This was a pressure season for them I think they will turn over Cork and learn the lessons from earlier in the year.
I like the look of this Cork team and if Waterford are naive as they were in June Cork will win.
Just giving Waterford my vote of confidence I think a Waterford v Galway final would be great for hurling.
Nothing against Cork but if the rebels do win they won't fear Galway.

A very difficult game to call. At the start of the championship Waterford looked to be in much better shape to Cork but Cork started well and continue to improve. Tradition is a powerful thing and as ever no team thrives on some confidence like a Cork hurling side. Waterford have been inconsistent but they are hugely talented and Sunday could well be the day it all comes together. It promises to be another great day for hurling fans.

Head says Cork but will keep my money in my pocket for the rest of the year! Cork have been the best team in the country since the Tipp game but Waterford are more experienced. The general consensus seems to be that the two best teams played last weekend but I'll stick to my prediction and say the winners of the All Ireland will come from this game. Cork have played the best hurling and most enjoyable to watch this year and i'll go with them to shade it. Although I had a hefty each way bet on Waterford this time last year so I'll be shouting for them!

Hope springs eternal waterford have hope but not much else. People that are tipping waterford must be on the wacky backy. Cork have beaten them already why should sunday be any different. Cork to win by 5 with King conor given gleeson another lesson in hurling in doing so bagging the motm award again.

First game Gleeson was poor, he will never play so poorly again.
I think the tie is very evenly matched and could go either way.
The Cork Hurling public are really buying into this team and there will be a massive Cork support in Croker on Sunday. Waterford too will bring a passionate support and it's all set up for a memorable day.
Win or lose it has been a good year for Cork hurling, Whilst naturally I am praying for a Cork victory, I have nothing but respect for Waterford.
If they do beat us, I will be down for a while but when the initial hurt softens, I will be genuinely happy for Waterford.
I lived for 12 or so years in Dungarvan & my next door neighbor an ex Waterford County Footballer & a grand friend had only one worry in life & that was he would die before he saw Waterford winning another All Ireland.
Last year I went back to Dungarvan to attend his funeral, sadly he never lived to see his dream come through.
Hurling runs in our blood, it means so much to all of us, sometimes we can get blinded by our passion for our own County but this year either Cork, Galway or Waterford Supporters are going to experience that feeling of winning an All Ireland and you know something that thought makes me happy.
