Well if wee look at the three managers that are still involved we have Ronan Phillips who only took over the Blues this year. He is still young enough and is only in his late thirties. He is blues through and through so he won't be leaving Newfoundwell Road anytime soon. Then we have Jim Farrell who is the manager of the Jocks. This is his third season in charge. In his first season he just kept the Monasterboice men up when they defeated their neighbours Mattock in a relegation play-off. They are just 60 mins away from their first ever senior final. Then we have Malachy O Rouke who is in his second season with the Gaels. The Gaels have not won the senior championship since 1952. This is the second year in a row that O Rouke has guided the Gaels to the semi-finals. They are looking to reach their first final since 1992.

If it is Mc Grath they should make sure there is a good succession plan so when he steps away there is continuity, This destroys a team when everyone walks away and lads come in for a year and then dont try to take opportunity.

Hope not McGrath, He was given a new one year deal in Fermanagh and the players ousted him. It would be just another county taking a manager in that's on the Manager merry go round.....Not a good sign sharpey (Louth) - Posts: 193 - 27/09/2017 14:14:21 2051023 Link 0 |

I thought, like Bluebod above, that he was overlooked previously. Why now? Nobody else interested? In that case, Paddy and Shane should have volunteered for the job themselves! in_a_bind (USA) - Posts: 62 - 27/09/2017 15:17:23 2051059 Link 0 |
