Replying To kikfada:  "I'll meet you off the Train in Kenedys Ollie sure you can sleep over and get the Train back after the harty Breakfast my Gal will prepare for you. Ten pints of the finest and sure the craic would be mighty. Greengrass might make an appearance too."
Good man Kikfada. Sounds like an offer to good to refuse. I am sure you and Greengrass would know each other if Kennedy's is both your local.

Fitzer! Surely not.

His time has passed. Unless Keenan and a few of the 2010 team are on board as a management team.

Nally is probably in pole position.

So was Christy but we admired him to end.
Based on 2017 league and championship to date Paddy would be on best team.
Razor would be close too.

Rory Gallagher is now available. He would be a good pick as he knows what it will take to survive against the better teams in division 2.
He will be in huge demand so we should move now.

Not a hope would Gallagher take the Louth job.. I think it's Nallys if he wants it ,no other candidates jumping out

Any news or updated rumours on applicants for the job ?

See what others think of us !

Limited choices alright. But I do agree that Donegal should be looking to be competitive in Ulster again, that was Jimmys number 1 goal. Build from there. paddy carr managed Kilmacud to 2 Leinster titles and 1 club all ireland from 2008 to 2011. Managed Louth before that with limited success but it was louth! Also think he managed burren in down and some club in roscomon. Age wise id say about 60 plus. Currently managing ballymun, lost the county semi to vincents last year by 1 point, had they won that they would probably have won dublin and leinster. Will be a force again this year. seems to handle big teams and players well.

Well Banty would bring the physicality back to the team anyway.
We could do worse.....

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to see Banty throw his hat in the ring for the job.
He has businesses in Louth and commuting would only be up the road.

He sure does. He has a couple of nightclubs and a pub in Drawda. That pub is flying at the moment.

Heard Colm Nally is going to Manage a top senior club in Meath.

Whats keeping us in appointing a new Manager.

Wicklow have theirs, Laois and Offaly about to appoint theirs.

Here we are in Division 2 and no sign of a Manager

agree...... and many last round of league is this week and many teams out of championship. You would imagine that a manager from outside of the county ( if thats the way they are thrinkg) should have had the oppotrtunity to watch guys in competive games

The Banty will be expensive. Co. Board wouldn't be on for spending that type of money for 3 reasons
1. They don't have it
2. They don't have the ambition to go and actually generate that kind of revenue
3. They don't have the ambition to appoint the caliber of manager required to sustain Div. 2 football and move football at county level onwards
