Coldrick and McQuillan to ref All-Ireland semi-finals
August 15, 2012

David Coldrick and Joe McQuillan
The GAA has announced the referees for the upcoming All-Ireland SFC semi-finals.
David Coldrick will handle the semi-final between Donegal and Cork on August 26. The Meath whistler has taken charge of two All-Ireland finals in the past, both of which involved the Rebels, in 2007 and 2010.
Cavan's Joe McQuillan has been appointed for the Dublin v Mayo semi-final on September 2. The Breffni referee was the man in the middle when Dublin defeated Kerry in last year's All-Ireland decider.
The appointments mean that it unlikely either man will handle this year's final on September 23, as the tradition is that semi-final referees do not take charge of finals as well.
Marty Duffy, Cormac Reilly and Maurice Deegan handled the All-Ireland football quarter-finals, together with McQuillan. The odds are that one of this trio will take charge of the final, with Deegan and Duffy having already handled finals in the past
