Armagh 3-14
Fermanagh 0-10
It was all one-way traffic in Brewster Park these evening as Armagh proved too strong for Fermanagh.
The Orchard County plunged hosts Fermanagh deeper into relegation trouble when coasting to a 13-point success in this rearranged round 5 fixture.
Jamie Clarke’s third minute goal was a sign of things to come for the Ernesiders and Kieran McGeeney’s troops enjoyed a 1-11 to 0-3 lead at the change of ends.
Fermanagh supporters had to wait for 25 minutes before Stephen McGullion provided them with a score to cheer.
Second-half goals from Aidan Forker and Aidan Nugent applied the gloss to an impressive display by the visitors.
The latter top scored for the winners with 1-2 while Rian O’Neill and Rory Grugan chipped in with 0-4 and 0-3 respectively.
The result sees Armagh join Roscommon on seven points at the top of the table and they will square up to each other in the Athletic Grounds next Saturday evening (6.30) while Ryan McMenamin’s charges have to travel to Ennis to take on Clare on Sunday.
