There was lots to talk about on and off the GAA fields this past weekend. Here's a round-up of what was trending on social media…
The GAA invested how much into Pairc Ui Chaoimh and yet the pitch is an absolute sandpit. You wouldn't see a club field cutting up like that in December #moneywellspent

What can I say... it's been an amazing 4 months. I completely went out of my comfort zone and took on a challenge I never thought was possible. I can't thank you enough for all your support, without you , I wouldn't have been able to do this. I loved every minute of it. #DWTSIrl

Eoin Doyle's red card today just highlights how inconsistent refereeing is at inter county level. Very unfair on him considering he had it knocked out in a previous challenge. To lose your main leader and a player of his calibre at any stage in a game was a huge blow to Kildare.

Always thought trialing 2 referees in the league was worth a shout to take the pressure off them. But we'd a linesman today in Pairc Esler who thought he was refereeing it & it didn't work too well. Just leave her as it is, so it tis.

For small County's dev squads are the only way players can get access to good coaching. Maybe he just might think of resourcing weaker county's better so they can hope to compete in some competitions. Almost incredulous his opening statement. #gaa

Well done to the @LeitrimGAA boys today on a big win. Toughest 3 fixtures prior to today, this will give them confidence for the games ahead. Young team with a good set up, Emlyn and others to come back, patience and support needed #LeitrimAbu

Healy park next week will be a tasty encounter.

The edge has gone off hurling... Said no one ever. What entertainment from Kilkenny & Tipperary. Men putting their head where some wouldn't put a shovel. All for 2 league points. Heroic stuff. #AllianzLeagues

Mayo will ultimately be judged on what happens in championship but level of performance to date must be a worry. No sign of new players really emerging either. Dublin impressive & won that in 2nd gear #GAA
