Shane Walsh scored 1-2 as All-Ireland club champions Kilmacud Crokes eased to a 1-14 to 0-9 victory over Ballyboden St Enda’s in the Dublin SFC final at Parnell Park yesterday.

The surprisingly comfortable win completed a first-ever three-in-a-row for Crokes who now have 11 county football titles to their credit. The winners led by 0-7 to 0-5 at the break with Paul Mannion grabbing the last score of the half before captain Shane Cunningham and Colm Baquel traded points straight after the restart.

Cunningham notched another point before Galway star Walsh unleashed an unstoppable shot to the top right-hand corner of the ‘Boden net to put the Stillorgan side firmly in the driving seat after 38 minutes. The result was never in doubt after that as Crokes set up a Leinster Club SFC quarter-final meeting with Carlow champions Éire Óg on the weekend after next.
