Hill 16 capacity reduced for Dublin-Kildare clash

Hill 16 and its Dublin supporters
There will be 4,000 less Hill 16 tickets available for Sunday week's Leinster football semi-final double-header because of an issue with ticket scanners.
The Irish Independent reports that the capacity for the famous terrace, which can host 12,000, will be reduced to 8,000 for the semi-finals involving Dublin and Kildare, and Carlow and Wexford.
The meeting of Dublin and Kildare would be expected to draw 60,000 on its own, and this has led to concerns that demand for Hill 16 tickets in the capital will not be met.
However, Leinster Council chief executive Michael Delaney is confident that the Dublin faithful will be catered for.
"If we use the Meath game in Croke Park last year as a benchmark, there were only 6,000 tickets sold for that so we should be okay," he said.
