Brewster Park, Enniskillen staged the meeting of Fermanagh and Antrim

Down will face Fermanagh in the semi-finals of the Ulster U20 football championship after both sides came through their respective quarter-finals tonight.

The Mourne men were comfortable in a 2-17 to 0-9 victory over Cavan at Kingspan Breffni, where Andrew Gilmore and Danny Magill bagged the goals in a dominant display by the side under the management of Meath legend Sean Boylan.

In Enniskillen, Fermanagh saw off Antrim by 2-13 to 0-10 with their goals coming from Josh Largo Ellis and Darragh McBrien (penalty) to cement a place in the last four.

Donegal edged a battle with Tyrone in Omagh, where they led by Eoin Dowling’s early goal at the break (1-6 to 0-6) before late points by substitute Nathan Byrne and Johnny McGroddy (free) secured a 1-12 to 1-9 win over the holders.

The Tir Chonaill lads now face Monaghan in the semi-finals after the Farney County ousted Paddy Bradley’s Derry side.

It finished 2-9 to 0-11 in favour of the visitors in Owenbeg, where Jason Irwin’s brace of goals in the first-half proved crucial.

They gave Monaghan a slender 2-3 to 0-7 lead at the interval and they’d win out by four in the end thanks to points late on from Darragh Dempsey (free) and Conor McAteer.
