CLG Ard an Rátha has launched a brand new and independent GAA website that will provide coverage of all its games and events over the course of the season.

The site, www.ardaragaa.ie, has been in production since January under the watchful eyes of Ian McClay (Donegal Websites), Frank Craig (club PRO) and Mary Kelly, club secretary.

It finally went live last Tuesday night just prior to the club's annual monthly meeting in front of a gathering of various club members, officials and players.

The site incorporates a twitter account, video, photo and match coverage. It also carries the latest tables and fixtures for all its underage and senior sides. Already, the twitter feature has received a resounding thumbs-up from club members around the globe who are getting minute-by-minutes updates and photos direct to their phone.

The video gallery shows match snippets and one-on-one interviews with players and managers.

"It's only live this past week but we're very happy with the initial reaction," said Ms. Kelly. "Ian McClay and our PRO Frank Craig have worked very hard on it and we're sure it will prove to be a very useful tool in promoting our games and club.

"It is already judging by the feedback we've received. We've a number of ex-players currently working and living in places like Dubai, Australia and America and they've all been in touch already.
