Paddy McBrearty will captain Donegal once again in 2024.

Manager Jim McGuinness confirmed after last Sunday's SF challenge against Roscommon in aid of North West Hospice that the Kilcar forward will continue in the role after missing much of last season with a hamstring problem.

Michael Langan skippered the team in the Ballyshannon clash, which Donegal won 2-12 to 2-6, but McBrearty - who is the last remaining link with the team that McGuinness guided to All-Ireland SFC glory during his previous spell in charge in 2012 - will reprise the role when the Tir Chonaill men get their 2024 campaign underway against Armagh in the Dr McKenna Cup on Wednesday, January 3.
