The draw for the group stages of the 2023 Derry senior football championship was made last night and has thrown up some intriguing clashes set to take place later this summer.
Derry and Ulster champions Glen have been drawn into Group A alongside Lavey, Dungiven, Swatragh, Ballinascreen, Coleraine and Bellaghy.
In Group B, six-time champions and last year’s runners up Slaughtneil are in with Newbridge, Ballinderry, Magherafelt, Kilrea, Loup and Steelstown.
The competition’s format will see each team play six games (three home and three away) with the top four from each group progressing through to the quarter-finals.
The semi-finals will be an open draw with repeat pairings permitted.
