Brian Diamond bagged a hat-trick of second half goals as Swatragh romped to a 5-20 to 0-5 victory over Claudy in the Derry SFC over the weekend.
Managed by former Antrim star Kevin Madden, Swatragh led by 1-12 to 0-4 at half-time with Lorcan McWilliams finding the net before taking over completely after the restart when Diamond and Niall Coyle raised further green flags.
Also in Group D, Danny Tallon struck 1-5 as champions Glen eased past Banagher on a 1-20 to 0-11 scoreline.
Lavey chalked up their second win in Group A when accounting for Kilrea by 1-9 to 0-6. In the other Group A tie, Paul Cassidy's brace of goals were central to Bellaghy's 2-7 to 0-8 victory over Dungiven.
An early major from Shane McGuigan set Slaughtneil up for a 2-8 to 0-8 win over Newbridge in Group B. Christopher Bradley added another in the closing stages to seal the deal for the former kingpins. Meanwhile, Ballinderry opened their Group B campaign with a 1-12 to 0-8 defeat of reigning All-Ireland intermediate club champions Steelstown.
In Group C, Loup got their first win when James McClure's first half goal helped them to see off Ballinascreen on a 1-10 to 0-9 scoreline.
