Alzheimer's Society Side by Side Volunteers needed: The Alzheimer's societies Side by Side offer a befriending service in Mid Ulster. Side by Side offers the support of a volunteer to a person in the early stages of their dementia who still have a good degree of capacity to continue doing the things they enjoy. They are hoping to recruit more volunteers in the Mid Ulster area to help expand this service in Mid Ulster. Volunteering could be as simple as accompanying a person with dementia (maybe even a past player) who loves GAA matches. For further information please do not hesitate to contact Maureen Hughes, Side by Side Coordinator Mid Ulster, Alzheimer's Society, Tel: 07703 470746. Email: [email protected]
