There are loads of ways to play football. We don't necessarily have the forwards to tackle and press up high like Mayo did. That's not a requirement. Kerry don't have the forwards to do that either and it doesn't stop them from playing football when they have the ball.
Defensively we're not too bad, but we can definitely improve our attacking with the ball. Kickouts/midfield also needs improvement."
I actually was just thinking that swashbuckling pre-COVID style we played with, we moved away from because of the game in-general went that way, but NOW, under the rules - it would be class!

Congrats to the Galway ladies on a first all-Ireland in 22 years! It was a very exciting and enjoyable game. Two great goals by Leanne Coen. Hard luck to Kerry - that was a tough way to lose.

A very close contest - Kerry were so unlucky too.

The range of the 2-point arc needs to be re-visited for ladies football and perhaps brought a few metres closer to the goals.

A brilliant win. They showed massive character to stay in that game when under big pressure on the kickouts. Kicked a couple of brilliant scores into the wind not to mention a brilliant a second goal from Coen too.
For the two-pointer to be a threat it probably does need to be moved in. Kate Thompson has kicked a few this year and her point in the first half wasn't far inside the arc, but realistically it's not a factor in most games.
It's tricky though, especially at club level to mark out another arc on pitches, which would be between the other two.

Good to see James McLaughlin playing so well over the weekend, lets hope he can stay fit as he's such a talented lad.

Thought McGlinchey was excellent for Tuam, either caught or broke a lot of kickouts.

Ross Coen struggled to make a huge impact for Corofin although showed glimpses of what he can do but didn't need to, the 2nd half was far too easy for them. Liam Silke had a brilliant first half.

Good to hear Patrick Kelly was back for MM after his injury woes.

Anyone at the Dunmore & Caltra games comment on how Colm Costello & Mikey Mulryan got on?

Stayed to watch the Dunmore/Monivea Abbey game after Brendans/Caherlistrane. Glenn Kelly was very impressive off the deck. McDaid was also handful for Dunmore and looks to be playing injury free. Dunmore were poor from their standards, look very light in the full back line, Trevor Mullins bullied them in second half at 14. First half Colm Costello was quite but had a great 2nd, ended up scoring the winning goal on the last play, finished with 2-03. Shane McGrath was very good, looked like he was playing midfield, finished with 1-03
