They beat Meath who had quiet easily beaten us 11 months ago. They beat Dublin who beat us in Salthill last summer, before almost slipping up to Cavan. Our recent championship form is still very questionable. I wouldn't say irrefutably. Very debatable whether Louth and Cork are better than Westmeath. I'd argue Westmeath are better than both at the moment, but not a lot in it. A lot will travel from Westmeath.. God help them if they don't allow plenty of time to park etc etc. No neutral will travel. Hopefully the day will be dry because it's a terrible spot on a wet day. Westmeath have been hiding it under a bushel for awhile, if they're as good as Cork, who'll be 2 divisions above them in NFL 2027. ThenDrew Down to reach the All-Ireland Quarter-final. 2024 and 2023 just needed to beat Westmeath to reach the knock out stages. Drew Monaghan at home to reach the quarter-finals. 2023 drew Mayo at home to reach the Quarter final and lost Mayo who were far from great as seen in their quarter final performance. Cant really compare Westmeath with the great Dublin team. Westmeath of course has had a great year. But, I think this is a level too far for them.
