Replying To Cumann1:  "Your fullback is gone to Love Island"
I never knew Cian Hernon went to Love Island. I heard his former club and teammate Séan Fitzgerald is but he's not part of the Galway panel anymore since applying for it.

And proud of it. I call things as I see it…if that upsets a few people I really don't care.

Are you genuinely calling a Tyrone man English?

That's below the belt even from you? "English" Mayo won the match by a point. The Mayo keeper had a brilliant match. He is one of the 15 players. Monaghan had too many wides, that's the main part of the game.

Mayo scoring more than Monaghan is what cost Monaghan

You'll find Fitzgerald started at fullback ahead of Hernon in the Connacht final

The 2 teams teams we bet are guaranteed a place in Round 3 while we could be eliminated in round 2."
That's true but when Roscommon won the provincial championship they were licking their lips at the prospect of meeting Tyrone in the Hyde. How things change.

The point is Mayo were the better team when the hooter went on 70 minutes. It's not rocket science. Team in front is better.

No, you'll actually find that Séan Kelly started at fullback though in that game, Hernon was on the bench, but Fitzgerald wasn't in the squad.

So as I said, Fitzgerald isn't part of the Galway squad and Hernon was the starting fullback in Galway's recent game and that's what matters when mentioning the Galway fullback position.

Creating loads of chances and not taking them doesn't make you the better team. Monaghan were the better team in the second half. Somehow we hung in there, but we made life difficult for ourselves again. Need a big imprivement for the next round.

If Fitzgerald hadn't gone to Love Island he would be starting. Obviously when he left ye had to put someone in there. Ye put kelly in first and hernon in the last game. Fitzgerald has played more games for Galway than Hernon.
That's Fitzgerald, Cooke and Culhane that didn't commit to Galway this year and Thompson has missed a lot of the season. Those lads obviously don't see Galway winning an All Ireland this year
