Replying To Gantric:  "Should be a straight forward Monaghan win, Mayo are the 4th team in Connacht now behind the top 2 of Galway and Leitrim and then a big drop back to Roscommon in 3rd."
Yikes, keep out of the sun Gantric. The folly of ignorance. Best of luck in the Tailteann Cup. Love to all.

Replying To Willies24:  "How so? Did they not gain promotion to division 1? Surely that's a successful year for any team? Players and coaches all spoke very highly of him. It's amazing when he got Leitrim promoted he was still considered a poor manager by a lot of Leitrim people. Should have got promoted in his second year and did so in his third. Yet the same people say the current manager is doing a fantastic job. Current managers league form is poor and bar a good result against a Sligo side who are in real trouble it hasn't been a great 2 years. So what are your requirement for a successful year? Wexford going to Division 2 will be a step too far for us I fear especially without Barry, Tom and Cillian but I will cling to a small bit of hope."
I take you haven't watched much Leitrim football over the last few years. Even with all the upheaval, the current team is better drilled and focused then anything the last lad ever did with them. AND the current manager doesn't have another county manager standing beside him which the last lad had. Anyhow, the writing is on the wall, the Mayo faithful won't tolerate what poor auld Leitrim did.

Replying To yew_tree:  "Hennelly in Goal is not a reset. From what I'm led to believe in recent challenge games, Livingston will be in goal."
Regardless of resets I'll be surprised if Mayo don't win by a few points to spare this weekend.

I haven't missed a match in years and I include that dreadful night in New York! I just disagree on your summary, We have beaten Waterford, London and Longford (who in hindsight threw that game as it meant nothing going into the last day) in the last 2 years in the league. Couldn't or didn't want to a fulfil league fixture. Now thats hardly a well drilled team in a period of two years. We beat a Sligo side who are in rag order and Carlow last week are in turmoil which is plain for anyone to see considering they beat us by 23 points a few weeks ago. So I ask again what do you deem a successful year? The last two years have been a disaster and don't get me started on the managers antics on the sideline. Last weekend was a joke and should we mention the 2 pointer he cost us in Wicklow? He was a bad appointment and should have parted company after the Fermanagh debacle last year. As stated before I wasn't Moran's biggest fan either but it was far better than what we have now. Same S&C, analysis and most of the team except Pearse and Mark who it was well documented were leaving. Everyone else was still in place when he took the reins! But hey you buy into the narrative that he is selling and that is why we will always be the fifth best team in Connaught!

Replying To Gaa_lover:  "Let's be honest Morans one year as a coach with Monaghan was totally overblown by the media."
Oh no it wasn't.
