Its amazing how lucky some teams can be! We have had tough draws so far, a Limerick team that's had our number the last 3 times we played them in the last 14 months, although being at home helped us. Then Fermanagh away, who got their revenge for our win up there in the League. Its over 10 years since we had Fermanagh down in Wexford, although they won comfortably that day too.....And now Carrick, which hasnt been a happy hunting ground, against a resurgent Leitrim.

Super performance at the weekend. Wexford will be another step up but this is the nature of the competition - the hills get steeper and we'll have to work harder to scale them. Its a bonus to have the 2 week break to assess where the wounded are at but the lads and management are surely giving us a season to be proud of. I expect a big turnout.It is a huge opportunity for our young team to make another statement. Wexford, despite their recent dip in form, are very tough opposition having been promoted to Division 2 in March.They were also unlucky to be beaten by Down in the Division 3 Final. Sorry to all, I was busy the last couple days. So after our famous win over Carlow we now have Wexford at home in Carrick, I expect another sellout. Not sure our form has dipped. We lost to the then current Leinster champions in Leinster, then beat Limerick comfortably, then lost up in Brewster Park after kicking a heap of wides. They got relegated in the League ok, but beat Longford, who then knocked out Clare, and beat ourselves in the TC. They are one of the form teams in this years TC, much though it must pain you to read that. If form is only decided on the last 2 games, what form are you in? A true Leitrim man wouldn't have to ask that question, of course it was that amazing FBD win. Other counties could only hope for such a victory. Onto Wexford and my sources tell me there are 12,000 tickets sold so far, Leitrim people are really getting behind this quality team. Correct, according to some very shrewd Leitrim football men I was talking to, men that really know their football. Same men are not too worried about the challenge Wexford will pose, we feel we just have too much quality and too many players that Wexford will not be able to shut down.

Why you question me? Everyone of the Leitrim supporters on this forum acknowledge the vast quality we have and our strong standing in the province but when I mention it I cannot be taken seriously??
